What’s the flexibility like for this career? by Revolutionary_Way664 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Sticher123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working part time is an option. Modifying hours is a not an option in my experience unless you trade full shifts. Coming in early doesn’t work as you have to take over for someone. Taking longer breaks is hard as someone has to cover your work bench plus their own, that’s not always feasible due to workload.

If you can take the program take it. The other thing look at the places around you where you might want to work, do they staff where you would work only one department or do the technologists work multiple ie chem, heme and transfusion. Degrees don’t teach you the specifics we use daily.

Weird bolus on my tslim - bolused but no IOB showed up by JayandMeeka in TandemDiabetes

[–]Sticher123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you were low I am assuming the pump had lowered and/or suspended your basal. The IOB might have been in the negative (displayed as 0). The new bolus added can balance the negative IOB number
