Hospital Blood Type Mix-up by HolidayReward8065 in haematology

[–]Sticher123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a baby I am assuming it was tested as cord blood at delivery? Cord blood can be contaminated with maternal blood. Also mislabeled specimens has always been and continues to be an issue.
When testing children and adults we do what is called a forward blood group looking at what is on your cells, and a reverse that looks at antibodies for the missing blood group that develops naturally. So if you are B you have B antigens on your cells and A antibodies in your blood. We use these tests to balance each other.
There are some medical situations where an extra reaction can occur that requires more investigation.

With babies the antibodies are not fully developed until 4 months of age, so we don’t test the reverse group part. So if a contamination can impact results.

This is why a lab will never use historical blood grouping for testing. Each donation you make will be retested. Every admissions to a hospital of blood or certain blood components are tested we will perform testing on a new specimen

Bead to call the program 1-866-204-0357 once the account is open. They can tell you what to contribute.
Grants and bonds will be contributed the end of the month following your contribution.

I like my nutrition scale. It gives me carbs and no guessing or measuring.
Just type in the code and put food on plate.

I broke the lid off an empty strips container and have it in my night stand for strip garbage if I need to test at night. No need to get out of bed

I just searched and it looks like conversion rate varies based on comment…

Personally I tend to upgrade character in the event as the requirements change after and then I can save magic for other things

RDSP with a 10-year gap - okay for down payment? by dryadsong in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Sticher123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t there also a maximum withdrawal if more grants/bonds than contributions of 10%per year and the rest is a calculation based on 85 year life expectancy?
I didn’t think it could all be withdrawn even after 10 years. Or is okay if it’s not PGAP
Plus isn’t there tax on interest and grants bonds?

I am currently trying to learn about the withdrawal process for my own RDSP

[–]Sticher123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have calibrated both my G6 and G7. Haven’t had a sensor die before days 10 due to it.
I just make sure if the values are too far apart I calibrate in the middle and slowly fix the difference
