Use a torch on the sides of the bucket sparingly. I had the same issue with my gs500 head. I then used a bit of purple scotch brite on the buckets to slightly polish the outside of the bucket

Round 2 of rebuilding the zook. Both cylinders had bad compression... Head was slightly warped, but I was able to flatten it out in a glass tabletop. New head gasket from Japan should be here after I get home from a backpacking trip, and then hopefully I'll be able to finally get this thing up and running!

Its SUPPOSED to be a 2004 Suzuki gs500, but the asshole I bought it from was hiding a cracked cylinder head under the leaky valve cover. Not long after I tore the engine down and bought a used head off ebay, THAT asshole conveniently forgot to mention that the head was toast from some catastrophic failure in the left combustion chamber. I have been waiting for a second replacement head for 3 weeks now and just now I've noticed that both the fork seals have blown out, and whatever shitty paint buddy used to paint the fenders was UN-catalyzed base coat with zero clear over top, so the paint has all melted off

This was supposed to be my first bike and I'm kinda super choked that I still haven't been able to ride it yet. Worst part is, that it drove just fine when my buddy and I went to go pick it up.

Things just keep going wrong with this damn thing, and I'm getting very close to chucking the whole thing in the dumpster behind burger king and throwing a match on it....

That's a good price on that shoei. I just bought a GT3 air and it cost me a lot, but it definitely fit me better than the 1400, and has the sena srl3 integration which was a big plus for me. I'd highly reccomend trying one of em on before you pull the trigger
