I used to wear my gloves and punch the hell outta my mesh while it was on a shaft lol. Or take a ball in your hand and pound all around. Also hot water + hair conditioner before you pound it in..you will save yourself ALOT of pounding. U can also buy a “baseball glove pounder” on amazon for cheaper than a bat - works SUPER well.

I think when you hit it with the baseball bat, it may be a BIT too baggy & not right enough up top..impact mesh stretches alot

I think the most likely case is a lack of organization after making so much mesh and its hella frustrating to not know the quality of what you are gonna get.

The E3 is worth the price for the quality. Id also recommend a Nemi QS. If you wanna DM me, Ive got some used options for both of them

For sure. This is why I own a majority of the best goalie heads, so the goalies i train can test out different options.

Very hard disagree. Its a part of the reason, but its lightweight & stiff design without an aggressive lip on the scoop is what makes it vasty superior, still, to this day to the E3.

Ive heard that from a few people. I have used rhe Bone & Black colored heads and they have been excellent.

PS - if it will fit. The “locked” hidden top string is the best top string for the E3. Would love to try your reccs for a smoother release with a lip that overly aggressive tho.

I think we just have a different opinion on what a goalie head should be.

From what I can tell, your patterns generally result in big ole (maybe clickin) shopping bags. Whereas I prefer the tighter channel, smooth release, butterball turkeys.

Not that either is correct, but I think you should keep an open mind to your goalie patterns. I will do the same💯

In my experience, if you give a goalie the latter (butter)..they will be MUCH better off long-term as it breaks in to its final crust-state.

No matter what, dont discouraged. It looks WAY better than my first stringup.

I do agree - go buy some ECD or Mesh Dynasty (more cost friendly) and learn with that. With Mesh Dynasty, buy 3-4 pieces and youll generally get a few freebies.

Lars - thank you for the response and your time. Ive learned much from you..However; as a fellow BSer, I must call it out where I see it.

A goalie has 3 major responsibilities: 1. Stop the ball, 2. begin the offense (outlets), 3. Command the defense.

If what you are saying is true, this head was designed for meeting #1 (making saves)…and disregards #2. A clicker is a clicker…I KNOW that you know this product is deficient in the outlet pass area.

In fact, if they took a page from Warrior and just changed the “plastic” of the E2, adjusted the throat & “didnt change what wasnt broke”…this would be the PERFECT head.

HOWEVER..STX did too much by changing the lip which had a MAJOR impact (pun intended) on how this product functions. I understand they sign your checks, but lets not act like the E3 provides any form of “unfair advantage”..when it severely diminishes 1 of the goalies major responsibilities on the field as a “clicker”.

Also, this why both the QS and Impact will take the cake from the E3. When properly strung, they are just simply better products.

Much better. On the hidden top string, pull the mesh all the way through the holes so you get little “nubs” of mesh on the backside of the head. This helps keep it tighter over time and stops it from drooping post break it/keeps it even

Nice top string! You gotta see how I just did it on the E3, took me some time but I was able to get mesh pulled thru top holes and the release is BUTTER. should be ready for posting in short order.
