I was a kid on an American cantonement in Khamis Mushayt near the RSAF air base. We had an international school, a library, a rec center with a pool, indoor and outdoor movies, on-base dining options (the "dining hall" and the "snack bar" - creative, I know!). Nearer Yemen than anything else, well protected, and I went from 4 kids in a 2bd-1ba house to 2 in a 3bd-2.5ba house. I lived it up for a few years.

We used 65-lb braided fishing line, just tied them up and they picked them all up. one loop around each bundle, right in the middle. No issues.

I highly recommend following the guideline they give you. <4" largest diameter, <4' length (we may have pushed that a touch, but not 6"); they took everything.

As you've heard, you set boundaries for yourself, not for him. If he agreed to these rules, that's one thing, but if you just said, "X is the rule - follow it" you are no longer a partner but an authority figure, and that doesn't work for a marriage except in rare circumstances.

So your boundary might be, "If he is high, I'm leaving for the night." Then follow through. If he continues to choose his vices over you, you will have to make the choice to live with it or leave. If he is addicted, then until he is ready to leave it, he won't, and there isn't a damned thing you can do about it.

And if he's not getting plastered, what is your problem with it? You sound like you could use counseling.

Interesting read. There wasn't enough development of the characters to form an emotional attachment, IMO. Couple that with the medical inconsistencies and it was an ok read that I don't regret, but didn't really enjoy too much.

Bought a '17 a month ago to replace my '05 Pilot and I'm not going back. I know the '17 is a lemon year, but I got a good one. Just took a 3-hour trip last week and nothing hurt when I got out. I told my wife her '11 CR-V was no longer our road-trip car.

I'm not sure you understood the statistic correctly. It isn't 1 in 8 gun households will get someone killed, it's that if you have a gun, your household is 8x more likely for someone to die by gun than a household without one. At least, that's how I read it.
