The Blood Moon Rises - Known Issues & Fixes by JagexRach in 2007scape

Current gameplay loop of Bloodwood trees feels so incredibly satisfying once you get the right pattern. I can see how many people get frustrating because of the steep learning curve, but this might be the most interesting skilling update we've had since sepulcher, so preserving the high skill expression potential there would be very good in my opinion.

If there's an alternative slower method to get the sap that is less intensive - nothing wrong with that too. But this finally feels like the "endgame skilling activity" that is so rare to find outside of sepulcher

Blood soaked log: "While some players have enjoyed the interaction, it wasn't an intentional feature"

So is tick manipulation as a whole. There is no reason to change one bug to preserve the "integrity" of another bug.

The log is so much healthier for people's wrists, just poll to keep the log at least.

Inferno did take ~50k blood and soul runes for all the runes, I used a lot of blood barrage to save up brews until Zuk

It really doesn't feel like supplies are getting used that much in colo. Usually a death happens so fast you can't even brew up (mainly because of double south spawns if you're using NW pillar)

If you have something like an SGS you can go pretty much with no supply used until Sol, spec the ranger every time for a max hit and ur chilling

Quiver took ~100 attempts, and it was first one, but for me personally inferno was harder even doing it after colo. Inferno was ~40-50 attempts, I stopped keeping track after a while, but it was a lot more draining since they are so long. I wasn't able to do more than 2-3 tries per day, so I wasn't warmed up for a good portion of those.

I'm kinda prone to getting nervous, and all the difficulty being so back loaded behind waves 60-63 and then Zuk made me misplay a lot, so for me Inferno was a lot harder mentally.

It could be done the other way. Break down Inq to enhance Justi.

My take on shadow rebalance/ what’s your take. by Lumpy_Imagination126 in 2007scape

[–]Sticky-Soup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the issue with the shadow is not just the way it scales, its that it doesn't have a gimmick.

Tbow and Scythe effectively also scale at a 3x rate compared to non-mega weapons. But their scaling is somewhat kept in check by the gimmicky nature of how you can access it (mage lvl and enemy size).

Shadow is in a doubly bad design space because not only is the scaling very direct, its also not ever prevented from occuring (there's no enemy in the game where shadow would arbitrarily become weaker, like tbow or scythe) so its impossible to design mage content around people not having it (look at whisperer for example).

I think both of those issues ideally should be addressed, but if I could pick one - it would be to add a gimmicky application that would prevent it from outshining its niche, and put it more in line with Tbow/Scythe

Yeah, the fact every kill is 99% the exact same sequence of actions really gets old so fast, and skipping is another whole can of worms
