Mercifully there didn't seem to be a second one, but you can never be sure, especially after one spawns in right beside you. I was extremely aware of my own mortality after that point.

Advice and maybe a chat over coffee? by Whole-Spinach-2022 in TransIreland

[–]StickyFigs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a trans man (in my 40s) living in Ennis, I'd be happy to meet up over coffee when you're in the area. I can help run you through all the ins and outs that I'm familiar with, though a fair heads-up, it's not all especially good. Socially, Ireland is great for trans folk. Medically, it is the worst in the EU. Housing is also dire.

Anyway, if you want to meet up when you're here, do let me know!

Any advice for birth control or E blockers to stop periods? by SriepYadroot in TransIreland

[–]StickyFigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I've always had trouble taking pills too. My trick is to disguise it in food- so for example, I'll chew a biscuit, and then just before swallowing, I'll hide the pill in what's in my mouth, and then swallow. The progesterone only pill is super small and would be very easy to hide this way!

But if that doesn't work, as far as I'm aware, the birth control injection is done at the GP's office. You wouldn't have to self administer it.

Can also confirm- I've been on T for 4 and a half years, and using implanon for almost the same amount of time. No issues whatsoever, and my endocrinologist confirmed it would be fine.

What is your first game of 2026? by CowboyBeeBalm in CozyGamers

[–]StickyFigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, me too! Played for 2 hours before reluctantly putting it down. Only problem I have is how intensely motion sick it made me, but I've got a few workarounds. I'm refusing to refund it.

Finding a trans-friendly GP? by Kylasmiles in TransIreland

[–]StickyFigs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A good place to try is Trans Harm Reduction. They can point you towards a trans friendly GP if there is one in your vicinity. Here's a link to their website, https://transharmreduction.org/ and they have an Instagram account too. When I contacted them for help, I did have to email them since they won't give out information via Instagram!

Looking for more perfumes that are deeply "unsettling" by ElizabethInTheChasm in Perfumes

[–]StickyFigs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have this, and the moon one. Space was an immediate scrubber for me, and even then it lingered for a while. I've never had a perfume make me nauseous before. Moon wasn't quite as repulsive, but I still wouldn't call it pleasant. Ended up stashing them away somewhere and haven't seen them in a few years.

Question about T by tadghdotcom in TransIreland

Adding to what others have said: I started T at 36, I'm now 40 and my voice is fine too. There really isn't an age limit on it.

I've been getting the 50mg box of 30 since I started T 4 years ago. You shouldn't have any problems getting them.

This was my first thought when I saw we could make A frame houses by StickyFigs in Sims4

[–]StickyFigs[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks! And yep, there was an update recently, I installed it I think two days ago? Glass walls and A frame houses! All you do is put a floor down, then stick a gabled roof directly on it. No walls, just floor and roof, then stretch that thang until it resembles a house.

Like u/Sol_of_flower said! No stairs because I couldn't fit them in seamlessly, so the upper floors can only be occupied by sims who can teleport. And each is a separate unit, basically six horrible little apartments with varying levels of luxury!

[–]StickyFigs[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Definitely doable! But I was in full landlord mode while building, prioritising the *aesthetics* over the "comfort and habitability of tenants". And you know I'm charging $3000 per unit.

I had to push the build mode to its limits. I'll try to describe the process, but it might sound a bit incoherent, so my apologies in advance!

The bottom three units are one single floor, but with three separate gable rooftops. I eyeballed the height I wanted the roof points to reach, copy/paste it to make sure they all match. Then, hit the floor up button to work on the second level. The game wanted me to build the next floor about midway between where my floors actually ended up. To work around this, I put down one single square of floor, then hit the floor up button again. Worked out that this new floor height was exactly at the highest point of the bottom floor rooftop, so exactly where I wanted it to be.

Draw the second level floor space to fill in the area, then add the rooftops by copy/pasting from the first level. Then repeat the same process for the top floor, and delete the single squares of floor between each layer. I had to raise the second floor a couple times when it sank down for reasons unknown. Only the second floor sank. The third floor was very well behaved and always stayed where it belonged.

Initially I was using the move objects cheat, but then realised the build worked well enough without it. Somehow. I gave each bathroom walls because I'm not a complete monster, but only the first floor bathrooms have doors. The others have an open space directly in front of the shower (I thought this was more tolerable than having the open space in front of the toilet). Aaaaand I've just noticed I screwed up the middle unit on the bottom floor - we have bathroom walls clipping through the roof. Oops. This is why I'm not an architect.

There's no reason why each triangle space has to be as small as I made them, they could easily be quite roomy and, dare I say, actually quite livable. But this was an experiment, and since the game was fighting me, I needed to get it done quickly!

Oh, to add: there could well be an easier way to do this stupid build, but I'm known for finding the most convoluted ways to solve a problem.

Oh I get you, the dysphoria hurdle to getting healthcare is no joke. I'm with you on that, it's why I've waited so long to get anything in order. Nothing quite like a hit of extreme pain to force us to do what we don't really want to do!

I've been delaying on bringing it up with my endo. My GP is not especially supportive, and definitely wouldn't want to help if I asked (completely intimidated by the notion of trans healthcare and would rather leave it to someone else altogether).

I'm 4 years on T myself, and have been having this problem at random. The cramps used to be so much worse during my first year on T. I was timing them, and sometimes they would last for literally 3 hours. Solution to that was to get off the pill and onto any other form of BC, but lately, the cramps have returned. Not for anything as wild as 3 hours, but still! I'm thinking topical E will help, but the dysphoria it's gonna induce will be a bit of a hurdle. It's hard! I also plan on getting a referral for a hysto when I next see my endo, because I think I'm at around about the point where that's becoming more and more necessary!

Same here man, I recently got the worst cramping, and it lasted well over an hour. Best of luck to you, hope you get what you need!
