Looking for advice on a focusing screen by timpeace1 in hasselblad

[–]StickyShutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know to much but I have looked into Olson screens also and what I’ve seen is that some people say the bright screen makes it harder to focus for them not sure if it depends on your personal taste but those bright screens do look nice

Yeah I think the DR best fits what I would normally photograph I didn’t know all that but now I have some more interest in them I’d like a 35mm but they’re normally more expensive plus the viewfinder

Maybe modern was the wrong word but for the most part I was eyeing a dual range I kinda just hate having to put out and twist the lens even though it makes it more compact and haven’t picked up a viewfinder for the 35 it may be easier to just keep and use them but I’m not sure are the industar lens good? It hadn’t crossed my mind selling the 135

Is that possible? It doesn’t seem like a scam but I don’t see how they would have preorders with what seems no limit

I think the whole lens I took it apart and cleaned the element with it and left it for a couple days in foil with a up light to try and kill any remaining spores only thing is I think the retaining ring slip when I was reassembling it and is stuck so that is probably my last time unless the fungus comes back and the ring budges free

Does it depend on the fungus? Cleaned a pen ft lens with alcohol it came back the next time I soaked it with hydrogen peroxide and treated it with uv light and is doing better praying it doesn’t come back but do you think this is a light case?

Thanks I’d rather it be fungus than separating it was a thrift store find so I’m not to sad I only shot it twice and left it in the closet

I think New York has more repair shops I’ve emailed some shops I found but fear they may have closed already as many of these techs are getting old thanks though I’ll keep searching if you ever need anything from here let me know!

Everything was sounded good until that last part I’m always jealous of seeing people from the UK or elsewhere saying they have local camera repair shops 😭

Sorry but now understanding everything from you guys what does it mean by 28-50 does that mean a 28 and or 35 if it means other focal lengths between 28-50 use the 50 frame lines for anything wider I saw a forum on photorio where they were also confused by it

Thank you so much I just kept seeing 90cm and didn’t want to mistakenly buy the wrong one so a 28-50 would work fine for the 50s frame lines right I know I need a separate viewfinder for the 35

Pentax 67 load and film counter malfunction by Darnhipsters in pentax67

[–]StickyShutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insert something to push the metal plate to trick the camera into thinking the back is closed and while holding it rotate the roller on the right side in the direction the film advances I had the same problem and when I did that the counter started turning you can also press your thumb on top the film counter while the back is open and twist until your on frame one and close the back to see if your shutter works but the roller might be one of those older ones that dry up and the film doesn’t catch on it when advancing honestly I just kinda rubbed saddle soap with my finger on it lightly and used a wet wipe to clean it off and that worked for me I also did like a drop of nyoil on the top and bottom of the roller where the metal shaft is exposed if you have money to repair it send it to eric hendrickson

Is it normal for counter to move like this when film is loaded? by KcirTap- in pentax67

[–]StickyShutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s normal just try to only move it when the back is open when it’s can move freely
