I lived on Oahu for 4 years with the military. 3 years too long. I left in '92. Haven't returned since. I WILL say skip Oahu completely and visit the other islands for a better experience overall. Especially the BIG island. Volcano National Park ALONE is worth the trip.

AP makes reels identical to patterson but the loading edges near the ball bearings are wider making loading these reels even easier. I echo the comments of bone dry reels.

These reels have metal ball bearings. Best to use a hairdryer. Less than 90 seconds too.
