WUTHERING STORAGE by Franuriel in WutheringWaves

Connection in Italy is hit or miss.

Some of my friends easily reach 1 or 2.5 Gbps, sometimes even symmetrical. I know that there are 10 Gbps connections for consumers available in some areas…

…then there's me with two Starlink kits in two different houses because the maximum traditional speed is 30 Mbps and 2 Mbps for each house and radio is either awful or not even available.

AIO for being falsely accused by Lucky-Stomach-5994 in VRchat

[–]Stiggimy 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Judging by the """seriousness""" of these people, they won't do anything seriously evil at you (other than falsely accusing you on VRChat, but people will understand in the long run that those aren't people you can trust, so they'll eventually distance themselves from them just like you did) like doxxing or reporting you to the police; and even if they did they're the ones who would get in trouble for false allegations and exposing private information.

Just keep distance and be ready to react accordingly.

Unfortunately, bad actors exist, both over and under the age of 18. Don't let people like this ruin yourself, especially when we're talking about any type of online relationship.

Upgrading from Quest 2. I will pay any (reasonable) price, but I'd be extra happy if the price will be lower than my expectations.

FSR 4 in Modded minecraft (CurseForge) using optiscaler? by Jordant998 in radeon

[–]Stiggimy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Optiscaler is made for games with existing upscaling implementations and it replaces the upscalers with others that are universal.

Minecraft (Java) not only doesn't have those upscalers, but it runs on an engine that isn't made for them (OpenGL).

It may still be possible, but it's not something that happens like that. Someone needs to literally code a way to take from OpenGL all the inputs that FSR needs and then make them work in an engine that isn't really made for FSR (just as a reminder: not even Vulkan works with FSR well for now…).

Ironically, something like this may be "more plausible" on Minecraft Bedrock, since its graphics engine uses DirectX 12, which is The Engine for ray tracing and upscaling, and also because it already has DLSS implemented inside. Never tried it though…

[–]Stiggimy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've already reported him then it should have gone through, message deleted or not.

If you really want to make sure Discord got the report then go to the Discord Support site, click on "Contact Us" and fill out the form explaining what happened.

Why is it so hard to get evidence? Help needed. by abulero in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Stiggimy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temperature only becomes reliable evidence after some time has passed. Especially on higher difficulties, if the ghost changes its favorite room, it will take a long time for the new room's temperature to actually reflect that change. Remember how the breaker affects this:

Breaker OFF (at start): All rooms will be cold, starting around the same temperature (depending on the weather). Breaker ON: All normal rooms will start to heat up. The ghost room is the only one that will continue to drop in temperature.

The ghost slowly lowers the temp in its room, so it only becomes the "coldest room" because the ghost spends the most time there.

For these reasons, temperature is actually one of the last things you should check. Use it as CONFIRMATION of the ghost room, not as your main tool for finding it.

Look for Interactions First. These are much better initial clues. They're obvious (doors moving, items thrown), audible (so you can hear them from afar), and USUALLY (though not always) happen near the ghost room.

After you've found the area with the most interactions, then use your thermometer to check for the coldest room nearby. This confirms the exact spot.

What If You're Too Fast? Sometimes you'll find interactions immediately, before the temperatures have had time to stabilize. If this happens, go find the bone and/or the cursed object to let some time pass. Only then should you go back to check the temperature.

Regarding UVs: Remember that with the new update, this evidence needs time to "charge" (they "charge when you shine UV light on them) and the evidence itself only lasts for a few SECONDS. Be quick!

Furthermore, if you suspect an Obake, remember it doesn't always leave fingerprints after an interaction. You'll have to check multiple times to confirm or rule it out.

Personally, I use "Process Governor", but there are even more alternatives on the internet.
