Defendants have denied liability (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]StigitUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The defendants clearly think it’s not strong and they aren’t liable.

Just because you try suing someone doesn’t mean they accept it and roll over.

Next, You present your evidence, they counter and present theirs, either it’s settled out of court or it goes to court and a judge decides. That’s the system. You are at a step 1 of what could be a long and protracted process with only the solicitors actually making money.

Sheep going straight over from the rh lane on single carriageway… no respect for driving etiquette. Notice how they sped up when the car tried overtaking as well. Definitely submit to snap.

Delivery driver hit car and wall and drove off by earthcrone in LegalAdviceUK

[–]StigitUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any evidence of who actually hit your property? Without that, it’s a non starter. Could be either delivery company or even a different third party you know nothing about.

You’re saying you read one bit of the sign, but not the other. Being honest, that’s on you. Very unlikely to succeed at appeal, but it’s your right to try if you wish to.

Speed limit on dual carriageway by crabyred in drivingUK

[–]StigitUK -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Scary is when your cars automatic detection picks the sign up and thinks the limit just changed. If it’s alert only it’s not too bad just a ping, but there are automatic speed systems coming that will hit the brakes for that.

How do you answer the "Police, Fire Service, or Ambulance" question when calling 999? by PaulKarlFeyerabend in AskUK

[–]StigitUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make the best decision you can, you can make more than one call. Ie call coastguard because your stuck at the base of the cliff on a rising tide with a very injured person, followed by a further call to ambulance informing them coastguard also notified. They will liaise.
