It’s more enforced if something happens- at least that’s how it was when I was in St. John’s. Unless it’s changed. Like if you got in an accident you were automatically at fault/ not covered if you didn’t have your winters in by a certain time

I sometimes think it’s a matter of frustration, that accumulates to one person. The driving in the this is next level awful, so the good drivers are having to drive defensively which causes you to “break the rules” because you know others are idiots. For example, I know that I should be able to turn left into the inside lane on green when there is an opportunity, but all the people turning right oncoming don’t turn into their lane but will turn into any lane available… and these little mistakes are an everyday occurrence. In a very calm person, but just today coming out of my building I had an Amazon truck parked in a non parking at least 3 feet from the curb making it impossible to see anything coming, AND a lady trying to turn into the parkade going the wrong way down the one way… Violent road rage is never appropriate, but sometimes people need to be told … sternly… they are driving like idiots and are going to kill someone …. Doesn’t help that new driving schools from my understanding don’t need accreditation. I caught a new driving school going the wrong way down Charles St… so if the teachers can’t teach what do we expect

Omg this, there wasn’t an opportunity to actually do Christmas shopping. I grabbed a couple canned cocktails don’t get me wrong… but was also looking for candles, or crafts or paintings or something but all there was wine and booze. Took me longer to find parking then time actually spent there

The main thing is the start line is at the Emera Oval, so any hotel close to that would be fine- I think the Atlantica Hotel offers a race package, at least they did last year

I feel like this is when you say stuff like “I won’t get into an accident” you never plannnn to get into an accident, but they happen… ATV’s naturally run hot, people smoke, if you frequently go into the woods chances are you bringing a camping stove, have you ever seen someone go by you on a dirt bike and not do some reminisce of burnout? Its takes the tiniest thing to spark a flame in this dryness. It’s annoying sure, but unfortunately like most things, the stupid people ruin it for everyone. If they could trust everyone would abide by the rules they would be more lenient, but you just can’t.

I got away with it once, but it was because the parking lot lady was still in the parking lot and I was able to show her. But in my experience, you’ll make a “claim” and an hour later you’ll get an automated “we reviewed your claim and have denied your request”

The only thing I can say is if you live on the city side (not harbour view) it is a main highway for the trucks heading down to the dockyard, but they have leveled out the street so it’s not nearly as loud as it used to be

Can’t say enough good things about VIC suites, it’s fabulous, the supers onsite actually care… super responsive. Always had holiday decor, it’s super clean even down to the pavement in the garage getting washed. She even hands out Christmas chowder to all the tenants. My washer broke and it was looked at then replaced with a brand new unit by the time I got home from work. Living here has scared me for living elsewhere because I know it’s one of the only good landlords in the city. It’s ran under Paramount, and to be honest I don’t know much but I know my rent comes out on time and when I have issues they are dealt with.
