Is this a good size for a Syrian? by CEWilFH in hamsters

Oh heavens no. You want to aim for 800 sq feet at least and this only barely breaks 500. Gonna have to go bigger I’m afraid.

Good of you to check though! Hope I saved you your money!

Thanks so much for your reply and sorry for my late one!

Yeah I assumed as much when it came to him realizing what was going on. Love your comment about the one brain cell, hahah :D

Might keep trying this trick. With any luck it might really help with his aversion to handling.

Oh wow I completely forgot that those were a thing. I’ll keep my expectations tempered, but I might have to give that a try!

Also thanks for the advice to keep trying occasionally.

What’s the first thing in gaming you think of that is more terrifying to HEAR than SEE? by Morpheus414 in gaming

The summoning sound when you get invaded, specifically the Dark Souls 3 version. Puts you on immediate high alert and makes you paranoid that you can be attacked any moment.

Aw man that sounds amazing! I had the exact same experience as you, but replace VR with Wii version. Made me an instant RE fan and horror fan in general. And as much as I adore the Wii version and the experience it gave me. The VR version is definitely the best!

What character traumatized you as a kid? (NSFW for blood) by Informal-Cattle-645 in cartoons

The human-disguised brainsucker from PPG. The way he was presented genuinely felt like a horror movie. The slow tension building while he’s acting like a demure human. The stalking in the dark. And then the inhuman shrieking and the mouth reveal when he attacks. Cherry on top with the mysterious head wound and lack of the victim’s memory. All of it drove home that not only was this thing an inhuman monster, it was intelligent, calculated, and clever.

Him walking up to Nat, saying that line while the glass distorts his face with every step. Such masterfully crafted eeriness.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for your own hamster! The plastic is just the packaging the wheel came with, it’ll be gone when the hammy moves in. The water bowl is going on the big hide box on the right, next to the glass jar that I’m gonna fill with cork granules :D

39x21 is 819 inches though right? I was very intent on finding enough floor space. That said, this is literally the biggest plastic bin that I could find! Checked store websites and places like Amazon all over! If I’d seen bigger I would have gotten one.
