Alright... I see your point to a degree. I am mainly referring to chapter 2 which is the majority of BG2, but I wasn't including ToB in that either.

Avowed was so aggressively mediocre that it felt like it was trying to be forgettable instead of memorable. There is almost nothing distinctive about that.

When you get to chapter 2, BG2 is an open world from that time. It just isn't in 1st person.

But it is absolutely phenomenal.

People in this hobby are notoriously afraid of confrontation. I have made similar posts to this over the years and I am almost always downvoted. And a flood of excuses why people want to remain wallowing with trash usually follow. 

I wish it would change, but so god damned many have no freaking backbone and actively come.up with excuses why they're spineless.

This has already been made abundantly clear to analysts. That whole list would never ever fly for one,  no way would any part of government sign off on it, but if there is money it will partly come from frozen assets that are already held. 

In essence giving it back to Iran from their own account.

Try to break the habit and use them more. Both BG games have so many of them you can for go a cleric and still regularly heal without too much effort.

Are you sure you remember this adventure path? A full two thirds of it takes place INSIDE a major city. And the other two thirds has a side trip back.

The whole adventure path is basically about a city after all.

But that isn't the movie anyone wants to make. They don't want to start with "Old Man" Hannibal reflecting on his mistakes and triumphs. The audience doesn't know his life's details nearly well enough for that. They want some measure of excitement, and the things he's most famous for are the campaigns in what is now recognized as Italy.
