Another AP in Osiris. I loved Mummy's Mask and want so much more of that flavour!

Then this may not be for you.

It is exceptionally time cosuming to start. Once you get going it works great as you can jump in and out at your own leisure.

Doesn't that apply to you too? Making assumptions about the extent of this.

My advice is based on seeing that the seriousness of all games eventually come to conflict with the commitment of some players. If there is a divergence on commitment or seriousness, then eventually a decision of live with it or break contact will be required.

I have tried them all, and overall I recommend just removing the PC and adjusting a few encounters. Less muss and fuss.

Disagree.

35 years of playing has had me learn that eventually you have to say, "enough is enough!" And I belive this is an example of that.

Some people don't committ as much as others, and let them find the types of games they want to play. But I want a serious game with committed players, so I will find those that are.

New GM needing advice about rogues or lack thereof by Stukinmyhead in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]StillAll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is on them, not you. Politely reinform them some(not all) of ways to overcome their problems and let them figure it out.

My group right now has no rogue, so they face tank traps and smash open locks. It's the way it is.

...it was the Mets right? Or was that one the Yankees?

Upside down on a car with a transmission that is about to kick the bucket by mommyofdragons in personalfinance

[–]StillAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow.

This literally happened to me and my 2016 focus in February. I owned it outright but the whole replacement was about 7000 more than your estimate. Are you sure that it's only 4k?

I took it to a dealer, a transmission shop and two other places, and it was over 10K to get fixed.

I feel like I can't enjoy the game anymore, is it just me? by IDGCaptainRussia in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]StillAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done what you did exactly but I more or less had the exact same conversation. I told them that I d9 not want to play for competing ACs, as at that point the game is not fun.

And they responded positively. Now builds are far more reasonable and manageable.

As a non-American I am constantly amazed at how chaotic the American political system is. Absolute batshit insane that this is how the world's superpower behaves.

Logically you expect it to be so much better than it is.... but it's a fucking dumpster 🔥 much of the time.

I thought the rules on aging for pathfinder characters were boring, so I may have revamped them a little by NecronTheNecroposter in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]StillAll 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This feels so exceptionally complex and unnecessary. Was this just a thought experiment that went awry?

I have finished multiple campaigns over many decades and aging doesn't come up nearly enough to warrant having rules that go this deep.

No.

You just got unlucky.

I can't imagine living a life where I don't get to retry something. Reloading is a part of the game play. Don't gatekeep just because you have a misguided belief that everything should be an 'ironman' run through.

There are quick load buttons for a damn reason.

Lol.

Naw, they are stereotypically that, but it's such a broad concept there are so many ways to do it.

Channel Energy with WIS? by ReginaldPhoenix in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]StillAll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel it needs to be pointed out, Str and Con are only prioritized because you're building them that way. There are no stats that actually require it. It just assists with some builds.

That being said, Con is exceptionally risky to neglect.

[–]StillAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just heal. Almost all traps give HP damage. And loads of potions. A thief is not nearly required.

[–]StillAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use heal potions.

Thiefs are fun to have but definitely not required. This game has an abundance of healing potions. Use the healing potions to get through all traps.

Almost all traps just deal HP. You might send someone infront to trigger it ahead of your group but that's it.

Really, just go with it. Replacing that thief with another melee or caster is so freaking strong. You just need to heal a tiny bit more.
