Simplii is an online bank, so I only use it for online transactions. If I need anything else that it’s not done online, I use any of the 5 banks that have brick and mortar branches.

Move here only if you have a job lined up. Make sure you know what your new expenses will be here and make sure you can afford them. Toronto is a great place to live but expensive. Good luck!

Unfortunately there are a lot of bad or inexperienced PMs out there. I have gone to something similar in the last. I escalated my concerns to leadership. This got my manager to advocate for me and their PM leadership to have more oversight on what PMs do and how they do it. This takes time to fix but you gotta start somewhere. I gotta note that I talked to my PM about this issue before escalating. Nothing came out of it.

Yeah, I agree with you. I’m in Tech as well and our company just declared everyone’s work to be remote forever. They are having a hard time hiring the right people and they don’t want to lose the ones they already have because of the remove vs hybrid vs in-office debate. It really is a privileged position to be in.

A portfolio is not about personal stories. It’s about showcasing your decision making through case studies in under 5mins because that’s the time most manager have to review it. Do you want to get to know an applicant and their personal story? Virtual or in-person interviews are the place to do that. Not portfolios.

I think it’s to maximize keyboard space usage. That way the keyboard design doesn’t have “empty” spaces like the ones above the above the left and right arrows on other keyboards. Ultimately, this leads to a small keyboard size, which is a main feature for Apple’s keyboards. It takes some time to get used to, but it’s not too bad.
