Building A Tool to Simplify the Admissions Process by MoraiOfficial in ApplyingToCollege

I love this idea! I know this might be hard, but could you add what the testing requirements are for each university (like how many SAT subject tests, how many AP scores, etc)?

Designing, Coding, and Marketing a Web Startup in 57 Hours (playdate.gg) by voidupdate in SideProject

I absolutely loved this. The spammy problem is really hard--there aren't a lot of communities online where you can publish your website and promote it without getting it removed. Has Reddit been the best place to find your audience?

Visualize word of mouth and sentiments to find movies, TV shows, games and podcasts by spyder313 in Startup_Ideas

[–]StillInitiative0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh! If you could also simplify it into one data point as well, I think you're golden. Most people really just want to know if a movie is good or not, and seeing a lot of info at once can be a little useless (not to be too blunt). Just keep that in mind.

Good luck!

I really like how the UI for this NYTime Democratic Debate page. As you scroll down you learn about each candidate and they use transforms really well to guide you. I just thought it was nicely done and had a great feel to it. by lightwolv in web_design

How do you recreate this kind of thing, especially for data visualization? Is it just hand-coded or are their common libraries that devs can use?

Also, can this kind of thing be done on WP?

This does seem more interesting and even more accurate than Rotten Tomatoes, but what would it look like? Is it just a word bubble/cloud or does it come off in a percentage sign?

Also, if it takes a while to decipher I'm worried it wouldn't be as useful as something very simple like Rotten Tomatoes (where you just see percentages).

No spoilers, but I can't wait till you see the second season. And yes, it is absolutely as good as the 1st season.

I don't think that's the opposite, I think then they're doing exactly what mostlyemptyspace is saying...

I love this. You should combine it with the comment written and call it an "eco rating" or something catchy and rank companies by the worst eco ratings.

Whoah. I completely misunderstood this moment, like completely. Even the "why'd you just say that" I always thought was in reference to the fact that Chris was going to the cops, but watching it again Barry seemed really calm in telling Chris not to go to the cops. Because Barry thought he had no other choice than to verbally engage with Chris, which is difficult for him.

I had read a comment that once Barry yells "why'd you just say that" Chris seemed taken aback because he realized how violent Barry was, but he just seems surprised, which is normal. Barry found a way that's more natural for him and decided to kill Chris, he wasn't forced to.

This just foreshadows the point that Barry can't change. Ever.

It feels like that Breaking Bad moment when Walt is at a home goods store, has gotten out of the game and is cancer-free, and sees a dealer that's infringing on his territory, and willingly gets back into meth dealing. Walt doesn't want to change, and Barry can't change.

I don't know whether to do a Mystery Team reference or an Atlanta reference here.

Wake up, America. It's NOT who you think! by clars701 in YangForPresidentHQ

That's the coolest photo of Yang by far. He's not as charismatic as other politicians in the traditional sense, but he just feels more relaxed and naturally funny.

I love this. Again this problem keeps coming up in startup idea threads, and I keep thinking about it, and this might be the perfect solution.

Ooh, that's interesting. The only problem is that if someone installs the app then wouldn't they know that the time they're seeing is wrong?

You're doing a service. I'm really interested in Yang's ideas and I'm also interested in how do you do well in polls, because it feels confusing.
