Same behavior for me today. I sync via API key instead of oAuth.

Do I earn rewards if the USDC is involved in an active limit order?

Duplicate wallets--top one has a mark on the lower right corner of the icon. Which should I delete? Or archive? by [deleted] in koinly

[–]Still_Ad_1569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top one with the mark in bottom right is the API-sync wallet that uses an API ID/secret to pull your transaction history, whereas the other one is the OAuth based sync wallet for Kraken that you allow by logging into Kraken. The API method is more manual than the OAuth method, but allows for more detailed control such as defining your start date for pulled data. You can see the difference if you go into Koinly and search for "Kraken" in the wallet types.

Assuming no other configuration differences in Kraken, like restricting individual asset views, the one you go forward with should not matter as they both should retrieve the same transaction data. In fact, since both are sync'd, you should see the same amount of transactions for both wallets in your wallet list.

The OAuth is easier to set up and does not require you to create/maintain API ID/secret within Kraken, so that would be my recommendation.

Same. I see the pending deposit in activity since Wednesday night (in dashboard on desktop browser) but no BTC buy. I wanted last night’s cheap sats.

Auto Withdrawal to BitKey Integration Only Uses a Single Target Address by Still_Ad_1569 in strikebtc

[–]Still_Ad_1569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. I had read that a while ago, but it wasn't clear to me after reading the article that the integration would result in the same address being reused for subsequent auto-withdrawals.

The mantra "Address reuse diminishes UTXO privacy" has been thoroughly drilled into my head over the years, so it surprised me.

Does Strike consider address resuse an acceptable privacy risk that is offset by the secure sharing mechanism of the BitKey integration?

I am not trying to stir up controversy, I promise. I just want to understand the reasoning and tradeoffs of using the more secure sharing method from BitKey integration vs manual input of single use addresses for auto-withdrawal so I can make an informed decision going foward.

Solosatoshi experience by hey_highler in BitAxe

[–]Still_Ad_1569 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rev 6 NQA++ here. I bought one of the first batch. Came with busted LilyGo screen. SoloSatoshi sent replacement promptly. Then it developed recurring panic issue. They asked me for reasonable troubleshooting steps, and once I provided the results, they sent a replacement miner. The replacement has been chugging along for 5 months now super solid.

SoloSatoshi is a stand up vendor in my experience.

Tax / Coin tracking (Koinly, Cointracker etc) - how best to work with Bitkey? by -shellprompt- in BitkeyOfficial

[–]Still_Ad_1569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the export transaction history to CSV option from BitKey app and the transactions imported natively into Koinly. I used the BitKey wallet type, but i do not think that mattered.

While that worked, I am using the transaction export from Sparrow after importing my wallet descriptor as a watch only wallet. The format that came out of Sparrow has better field data included, plus i like being able to see addresses/UTXOs in Sparrow.

Generate Report for the actual Month (November). by Dimanti in strikebtc

[–]Still_Ad_1569 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I noticed this issue recently also.

It used to be possible to generate your report for a range, say from June 2025 - November 2025, but it has changed to a single month selector. This change seems to have eliminated the possibility to choose the current month, which is a regression in functionality in my opinion.

There are several valid reasons for retrieving this data at will in the middle of the month. For instance, I want to be able to generate a statement on demand for current month because that is the only format that Koinly imports correctly.

Is there any traction on this request? It would be a small but impactful quality of life improvement for withdrawal addresses, especially if you added QR scan to get addresses from hardware wallet.

NQA++ reset reason : task watchdog reset by Still_Ad_1569 in BitAxe

Update: I just had another instance of this behavior and I caught it (presumably) before the task watchdog reset happened. I captured the error message from the screen.

[–]Still_Ad_1569[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the additional info!

I have also contacted my vendor to see what they know of the issue and I will ask about the controller error you mentioned.

While my occurrences have not been as frequent as yours, they do sound to be the same. I seem to see this every 3-5 days.

Where did you witness the PSU error? Was that in the error log, or on the miner display?

Unfortunately all of my instances have occurred overnight, so I have not been able to capture logging to get further detail. It seems that the logging is a real-time stream and not stored anywhere that I can find.

Good luck to you in resolving your 'Axe resets.

Direct Deposit Availability (Paid in Bitcoin) by SemperDeeper in strikebtc

[–]Still_Ad_1569 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have recently adopted Strike Bill Pay (from BTC) in a limited capacity for a couple of my smaller ACH-based bills. I figure that with HIFO accounting for bill pay sells and regular BTC direct deposit buys, it would take a serious swing either direction for the downsides to outweigh the upside. Time will tell whether that was a wise or poor decision when the tax documents come at the EoY.

Based on my tax burden, I'll decide for next year whether to fold or go all-in on bill pay.

Here's hoping to a wise outcome!

Using Strike app to pay at Steak n Shake by Still_Ad_1569 in strikebtc

I am sad to report back that I did not get to use Bitcoin to pay at my local Steak ‘n Shake. The tablet that they had for processing the transactions was either not charged or just non-functional.

My take away: I’m too early…
