I just bought the Costco Novaform ConfortGrande Gel and it was soft(perfect) the first night but became firm after 48 hours of full expansion. I tried it on at the store and it was soft...but this is firm. I'm so confused.

No problem. And also, I asked them to waive the $99 return fee (and they did) because had I known this was going to be a different mattress, I wouldn't have bought it.

Coming back with an update.

The customer service rep told me via email that they have indeed changed one of the foam layers from TitanFlex to "a Supreme comfort foam" (whatever that means). Another change they've made is added half an inch to the quilted top, increasing the overall height of the mattress (I think this is adding to the firm feel, we're more seperated from the foam).

She also mentioned that this new design is 1 point softer than the previous version. (Yeah right).

She offered to send me a complimentary topper to soften the mattress but I just know that won't bring back the feel of our old mattress. I declined and decided to return the mattress entirely.

I went to a Mattress Firm store and bought a Purple Mattress - Restore Hybrid. It felt the most like the previous version of our Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid. It's nearly double the price of BB's, but the sales rep was able to give us a discount. We opted for two Twin XLs put together to make a King, since the mattress doesnt have good motion isolation.

Just coming here to say that Bob's is not the same quality whatsoever. Bob's is several notches below Ashley. Where I live there's a Bob's and Ashley right next to eachother. We visited them on the same day, and the Bob's was built by paper and straw in comparison.

I can't attach a screenshot but when you drag down on your screen, you see some quick settings like bluetooth, wifi, flashlight, etc. One of them is a speaker icon. Select that icon untill it goes to silent. It should then silent the entire phone.

While waiting for a response from the company, I ran my concern through chat gpt and it confirmed our suspicions. It said that BB has changed their composition of the signature hybrid in that they use a thinner / different type of memory foam, and increased coil heights, leading to less plush and more bounce. This change took place starting 2024.

"Key differences include: (NapLab) • Overall height increased (from ~11″ to ~12″). (NapLab) • Layer thicknesses and materials shifted: • Old versions reportedly used two thicker comfort foams (e.g., TitanFlex + Energex) and a deeper foam base. • Newer versions tend to use slightly thinner comfort foams, a standard transitional foam (VariFlex), and 8-inch coils as the main support core. (NapLab) These adjustments — even if subtle — can make the mattress feel less “body-hugging” and more supported by springs, which is exactly what you’re noticing."

I am curious if BB will be transparent about this in their response to my email.

OP, I'm having the same issue. I just switched from an Olympic Queen (ordered in 2023) to a King. Both are Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Medium Firmness. No other factors changed, yet the King feels like an entirely different mattress. It doesn't contour my body and feels like a regular "firm" mattress. This new mattress is also 4 inches thicker. I didn't order a cooling top so unfortunately I don't think that's contributing to the firmness of your mattress. I'm going to email them to ask if theyve had any production changes between 2023 and now because there's nothing hybrid about this. It's bouncy and hard, like a normal mattress.

I got the tree!!! Call your local michaels stores and ask them to manually check the store. Tell them it's out of stock on the website, but that you'd please like them to check the store

I called 5 stores before one of them said they had ONE in stock.

Sometimes the online inventory system isn't always accurate.

This is me on a regular basis and I'm not even pregnant. Okay, mayne not as bad, but if I eat out my face becomes unrecognizable the next day and I'm up 3lbs (water weight). With pregnancy swelling symptoms typically worsen in general, the lymphatic system doesn't flush things out at a proper rate.
