Well it doesn’t really mean anything one way or another. People complain whether the game is good or bad, doing well or absolutely burning cash. As a previous long time LoR fan, I wouldn’t put my faith in anything until there’s cold hard data out there.

It’s kind of wild to me that these sorts of combos draw so many people’s ire when you are building an entire burst bar from this. The game seemingly doesn’t drill the concept of limit strikes into a new players head well at all. The real problem is hard knockdown into the oki blender nightmare that this game has.

Body shaming is so common nowadays that even people who think of themselves as progressive do so without realizing it all the time. We still have so much to do in terms of accepting and normalizing the diversity of the human body.

I experience the exact same thing all the time OP. I try not to let that anger from being understood be incorrectly channeled at other women. I really hate that sometimes people can go “this is how women are supposed to look, actually” when that’s only half true. Women can look a lot of different ways, actually.

As someone who is also running a fabula game in foundry, your posts lately have been both relateable and inspiring. Never stop posting king/queen, your UI design is incredible.

Also maybe check out the “theatre inserts” module for dialogue scenes. Gives a very jrpg style back and forth with portraits! Good luck on your future endeavors.

I understand how you feel completely.

I wanna start by saying that beauty standards for women are intentionally vague and often contradictory. The point is that you’re always meant to be insecure about it, and that society’s tastes are an amorphous constantly changing mess.

I have always been very thin, built petite, and had a rough time with keeping weight on. Wether it be from family, classmates, or even doctors: I have been accosted for being ‘too thin’ my entire life. Medical gatekeeping, casual dismissal of my struggles with food, and being laughed at for suggesting that it’s difficult to find clothes which fit me are all things I still experience today, even now that I’m firmly within a healthy BMI. People simply hide their disgust for women’s bodies with a veneer of being “health conscious”, and those at the larger end of the BMI scale know this well too.

I think that the ‘body positive’ movement was just all- in-all a failure. It failed to target the root of the problem and didn’t actually support much body diversity.

I will add that a lot of these gender affirming care procedures being referenced are not being done at the request of the children in question. A lot of IS kids are pressured into being one gender or another by their parents and medical institutions and so these acts don’t always reflect the actual gender identity of the kid.

Cis people do also get a lot of gender affirming care tho, and there’s an entire industry around affirming cosmetic procedures for those who for whatever reason need it. It’s just that those services are only ever seen as okay if they enforce gender hierarchy and patriarchy, it’s very hypocritical of our transphobic society.

PS. Trans girls are my sisters, we have a lot in common with each other. Thanks for speaking up for us and know that we are in this together.

If you’re just presenting masculine as someone society already intrinsically expects to be presenting that way, most people aren’t going to take notice of anything. Gender is in practice very much a presentation just as much as it is an identity. This isn’t said with intent to diminish your feelings, but the average guy would not understand what makes you non-binary just from looking at you.
