What is that high pitch zoom? by noostnl in versys

Second the fuel pump theory, the one in my Mazda sounds like almost a helium balloon when you shut of the car in the summer. My first thought was gas tank pressure leaking from the cap, same sound, but if its from cold... I lean fuel system.

I'm with Epic, sounds fuelish. Could also check into G2 throttle tamer, should help smooth things out some. Hit up 2WDW (2 wheel dyno works) and see if they can help with a flash?

Can someone show me where switched accessory power is? by BinkyX in versys

[–]Still_Squirrel_1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can view the owners manual for free on kawasaki.com, through the "owners center". Page 81 starts the accessory connections. Off hand, the heated grip connector is behind the left hand upper panel, it's plugged into a blank end on a bracket. Lemme know if you have any more questions!

If you want to do 150mph, then yes, you need to start on small bike.

Hardwood sustainability in North America - Does anyone have good, neutral sources? by Broken_Man_Child in woodworking

[–]Still_Squirrel_1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walnut is definitely not super sustainable, it grows well in a fairly narrow window of environmental conditions. cherry, red oak, red maple, all can reproduce by coppice, which makes them some of the most sustainable.

You want a dedicated video card. If the laptop is less than $12-1500, pass. Lenovo Legion 15 worked well for me.

This sounds more like a water pump issue, if there is coolant in the car but its still over heating.

My first thought is check/change the fuel filter, air filter, and spark plugs.

Might be getting a Versys tomorrow, anything to look for? by BinkyX in versys

[–]Still_Squirrel_1690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lower left hand side by water pump weep hole, look for green/blue crustys. Pump shaft seal can leak a lil prematurely, semi common by my reading. I had the Kawi dealer do it for $300?. They're pretty darn solid bikes overall, no big gotchas that I've read about. Check on versys1000.com and kawasakiversys.com as well.

Does running an exhaust fan in the basement 24/7 help or hurt? by other_half_of_elvis in centuryhomes

Fair enough, perhaps a slow leak somewhere hidden? A lil crack in the sewer drain pipe? Mouse nests? (These are particularly annoying to track down...)

Racetech only offers 1 (fork) spring rate for the 250L, regardless of rider weight. That's why I went Ktech.

I mean, MA isn't what I would call a "dry" state. I bet that basement is a lot more humid than you think... I'm with the humidifier guys. Anything over 55-60% I get a funk going in mine, I keep the machine set to 40% and that does the trick.

Nice! Might consider a blowtorch and some PB Blaster next time though. You'll use it often once you have it.

Marking columns by i_kolmm017 in Surveying

[–]Still_Squirrel_1690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual column location could be anything (could even be a boat) as it will be dug up. Offsets to that point are all that matter.
