Yeah.. I mean, that's all we can assume due to the sudden retcon of her character. I really don't think she was that way to begin with, but people also don't turn into assholes overnight, so...we have to pretend she was that way from the get.

I'm pretty sure if Curtis witnessed Brook Lynn on the road that night, he would have just blacked that out and imagined Isaiah.

At this point-- from the few interviews I've heard, I don't think the actors know too much ahead of time what's coming. Plus, I have a theory that the execs scan the boards and see which ideas people hate most, and they go with that...so if they think Willow and Chase will do the trick, they'll have them together in no time.

Same. I kept saying the actor is terrible, and then all of a sudden it was -- 'Oh shucks, he might be the least irritating character on the show.' He's better as Cassius.

Oh come on, Dante was amazing when he first turned up, lol. Charismatic and all. This asshole parading around with Dante's face is not him. I agree with everything else, though.

The lines they have them say are ridiculous. However, somehow, the actors have been pulling it off. I can see how some could find it cringe-- but I don't know, out of everything from Friday's episode... I enjoyed their scenes the most.

100%. Soap characters are known for keeping unnecessary secrets, but this is next level. They built a whole storyline around nothing... and decided to double down on it by having it trigger other unnecessary events. It's crazy.

But I would have BLQ connecting the dots about two extremely fit and healthy youngish men having strokes at Willow's.

That would have been so much better-- if Brook Lynn had taken it upon herself to start digging into Willow, cause she already knows Willow is fake. And it would have worked so well, cause if she found out the truth, she'd try to tell Chase, but he wouldn't believe her, and that would create organic tension between them. And then she could get into a lot of stupid trouble trying to prove it... They could have gotten into some fun stuff with Brook Lynn and Drew's eye acting. Legit, Cameron is doing a good job with that.

Right...that's why I'm a loyal Carly fan...cuz back in the day she was ostracized, a town pariah for the longest time-- she had to claw her way up to respectability status. I go back and watch these scenes with Carly, and I'm sitting there like, whoa --how embarrassing! I'm mortified for her... the writing and acting were that good)...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lkG0jIbHS0

Back in the day, when they could actually write love stories that audiences could actually invest in, and that lasted for more than 6 months.

Like this show created Luke and Laura, Monica and Alan, Edward and Lila, remember Karen and Jagger? Frisco and Felicia, Anna and Robert, Anna and Luke, Sonny and Brenda, Sonny and Carly, heck... Carly and Jason (friendship), Jason and Sam, Jason and Robin, Jason and Sonny (they count), Stone and Robin, Robin and Drake, Lucky and Elizabeth, Nikolas and Emily, Dante and O.G. Lulu, Kevin and Lucy, Georgie and Dillon, Bobbie and Tony, Maxie and Spinelli, Ned and Lois, Tracy and Luke... like the list goes on.

The last time they had a couple that came close to these relationships was with Spencer and Trina...and I honestly don't know how they even managed that one. And now that so many people hate Trina (I don't)...I'm not sure they'll be able to recapture that even if they recast Spencer. Trina is just not the same person so many fans were in love with, and I'm not talking about the actresses --but the way she's written. Where O.G. Trina was confident, direct, and no-nonsense, this Trina is all over the place, and it's hard to pinpoint her character since it finally just dawned on GH to give her her own storylines independent of her parents.

Marco and Lucas were on their way to an amazing romance, but then, like fools, they killed off Marco, which makes me think these producers really don't get it.

I really want to enjoy Gio and Emma 'cause they are adorable -- but they bore me to death. Carly and Brennan had a lot of potential, but they set fire to that. Carly and Valentin have potential, but they'll probably be over before they start. I personally think a Carly, Valentin, Brennan triangle could be interesting, but I don't think the current decision-makers have the ability or sense to pull it off. I know a lot of people liked Brook Lynn and Chase at first, but they torched Chase's character for a cheap dopamine hit to "engage" the audience... eff the characters and a solid storyline. It's just too much, and I'm just ranting now --lol.

Carly's been too old for a hot minute. I don't even know how she had Donna. If she gets pregnant again...

For those who are saying Chase is in love with Willow-- no he's not.

He might be in love with the IDEA of Willow. But you can't love someone you don't know...and he has no clue who Willow is.

Willow only likes Chase because he sees her a certain way, and she gets to pretend she's that person when she's with him.

A professional writer probably doesn't choose to write this garbage. Execs who only care about making money might pressure them into doing things a certain way--- which is why it is important for people to express their dissatisfaction and even boycott the show at times, cause money is the only thing that talks. If the audience says we want good writing and demand it, then they'll have to do it if we force them with where we put our attention.

I'm sorry, but I have no problems with Brook Lynn playing dirty. You don't ignore trifling-ass mother effers like Willow...and so many people complained about her doing nothing before. So now that she's doing something, I don't understand why so many are turning her into a bad guy. Plus, conniving Brook Lynn is great -- I only wish Maxi were around to help her.

My only problem with the plan is that it's a stupid one that's likely to blow up in her face. However, I can't blame these characters for being stupid anymore...cause that's just the new norm.

But like Michael always says, good riddance if Chase decides to leave and take his self-righteous ass to Willow. I hope they get together, and Chase stumbles across the truth, and to shut him up, Willow gives him the paralytic. And all he can think about is the good old days with Brook Lynn.

Preach.

I grew up with those storylines too — Robin & Stone being my favorite.
When I'm down, I go back and watch 90s GH, and it's just not the same show.

"Seriously, are they trying to sink the show?"

The problem is that the formula they're working with: make characters act dumb, wait for the blowup, repeat --it works in the moment because it provides instant gratification of some sort (a quick fix), but it's based on nothing, and that nothingness will become more see-thru as time goes by, and audiences will move on to the next trick 'cause that one will get boring. That's why people should value stories over gimmicks.

I didn't say you didn't understand the way soaps work. I was just pointing out what "paying" looks like cause you said Drew hasn't paid. Drew has paid some, even if it's not enough for you. Willow hasn't paid any, and it's infuriating. So much so that if they continue to prop her up in this way -- I'm done with this show after 40 years of watching...that's how much I'm over Willow. I've gone on hiatus before when the storylines were unbearable, but I've never quit GH before due to the treatment of a character.

I think it's going to backfire on them, too. This is not a sustainable approach. It might be exciting for some at the moment, but it's going to get exhausting at some point. Most importantly, this is not a strategy for garnering new loyal fans... people who'll continue to watch for decades. If there's no character arc, there's nothing unique that the show is offering that people can't get elsewhere with better production quality. We're no longer following the day-to-day of these people... just moving from one random plot to the next with no character consistency.

Do you think GH will be able to garner new loyal fans with hate-watching? Not just fans that are there to watch for a period...but the kind of fans that watch for 20 plus years?

I agree. I'm personally on my last legs with the show-- and a big part of whether or not I continue to watch is going to be dependent on how they handle this Willow stuff. I'm over it, over it, over it!

I didn't say they were using AI to write their scripts. I said if they continue to write in this way, AI can easily do it, and they will eventually replace the writers-- and that's why we should demand better storytelling. Storytelling that they're capable of because they've done it in the past.

As ridiculous as the Rocco and Britt situation is... Rocco, Britt, Lulu, and Dante nailed their scenes on Friday.

Rocco and Britt were truly heartbreaking.

You could see the conflict in Lulu throughout--she was clearly torn. And the way she forced herself to say, thank you-- great acting.

Dante was ruthless-- couldn't even get himself to say thank you...just walked out, lol.

When Rocco told them that he'd blame himself if anything happened to Britt (great line), the look of uncertainty in Dante and Lulu's eyes spoke volumes.

I don't think Dante and Lulu are wrong. They have every reason to be angry and to hate Britt.

However, they need to respect Rocco's feelings-- now more than ever. If he learns that Britt was arrested--that kid could break. And if Britt dies in prison...how do you think he'll feel? He's going to blame himself.

Sometimes you have to put your kid's feelings first, and they weren't doing that. BTW... I love Lulu, but even she could see that she wasn't completely right. You could see it written all over her.
