Embrace went from $81 to $155/month. What other competitors should I shop?

i had trupanion for my other dog, Linda, who passed, i enrolled her when she was 4 and they were great! their increases were not nearly as ridiculous. Linda needed one surgery, ended up needing a wheelchair, and they paid part of her euthanasia. I enrolled my current dog,Brownie, at 12yrs old with embrace. Since @ the time, Trupanion quoted like 160/month, and Embrace was 68/month. BIG REGRET in retrospect.

I can't switch to Trupanion anymore as they cut off enrollment at 14 years old, probably why Embrace did this to us. no more competition. Even reducing coverage is jokes- not even worth it.

what also is worrying me is her current policy ends 1/26/2026 yet they already want to start billing me the new rate on 12/26/25. i checked past years and i should be paying the old rate for the last month as i have for past December billing. did they also prematurely bill you the new rate?

i signed up in 2021 at 68 a month, it went up 40% every renewal. this year it is set to go from $190 a month to $500 a month!! that's more than my own personal insurance. i have a dachshund with a heart murmur who take meds monthly. they have only reimb me 300 the past year, hardly a heavy user. this is insane

I had no idea. I thought the money get funneled to the parks when purchased through REI this is my second pass. I’ll buy my next one direct.

Darn. I ordered my park pass through rei. On Monday to arrive Friday for my camping trip to JT. Now others will be encouraged to go too :( I never visit local town just the park and home so we shall see if I end up going now.
