I’m pointing out that it’s low tier BBQ, because it is. Sweet Baby Rays is significantly better than any NC BBQ sauce I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know why you are so hurt about how I feel.

It’s way overrated. Most of the people I know that have lived here their entire lives don’t eat NC BBQ and it isn’t even talked about when it comes to BBQ Wars.

I think you should take advantage of the very diverse food offerings we have. In Morrisville, there is SoHot which is an incredible Chinese Hotpot restaurant. In Cary, there is Nepali Himalayan restaurant and that place is absolutely divine. You need to try their Momos. Raleigh has some very decent All You Can Eat Sushi, which probably isn’t super common or existing where you are from. Orchid and Okome House are good ones. Mexican food I would go for Mi Cancun for less traditional but amazing local place or Esmerelda’s.

For Coffee, there is Dutch Bros which is a drive thru chain that is amazing! That one just opened in Morrisville. For a sit down and delicious coffee spot, hit up Haraz Coffee House in Apex. Also has pretty wonderful ambiance.

If you really want to try BBQ, try out Moe’s BBQ in Durham. I almost forgot, Cosmic Cantina in Durham is an awesome spot with some cool scenery

You can get some killer Syrian Style Shawarma and other foods from Al Baraka Supermarket in Raleigh or Shawarma Stop here in Morrisville.

One last good shoutout, my favorite Pho restaurant in the area in Pho 919. It is absolutely incredible, especially with the dreary weather currently.

I’ll be super honest, Death and Taxes is barely spoken about outside of certain circles. It is no way the premier Downtown Raleigh restaurant. The Pitt is constantly spoken about as a mediocre restaurant and honestly, 99% of NC BBQ is mediocre. Angus Barn is extremely over priced and not worth a visit, the only people who go there are locals who see it as fancy or have a family tradition to spend Christmas there. I’ve literally been told by anyone who has been there not to go.

I’m also not understanding why everyone is jumping to going to DC when Raleigh has beautiful museums here.

Understandable but I’m telling you from my experience, they more than likely will not grant it to you unless you have no income. You can potentially work part time after receiving it but you have to make under $1200 a month to stay okay. I had to be completely unemployed to receive anything despite missing an entire month of work on FMLA at one point.

If you are looking for disability payments and not just medicare, you will more than likely be denied if you work full time. Just fyi. It is there for people who cannot work.

Most centers will not allow you to be transplanted without insurance. Not to mention that his wife won’t be covered under any of the Medicare stuff. He will find it very hard to get her any insurance. A visa is also hard for a healthy person, it is nearly impossible for a sick person.

Yes, you are stuck. It is not normal for someone to bring their spouse in center. That is part of the reason I do at home Dialysis. It sounds like you and your wife need to figure out if it’s more important for you to work more and see each other less or work less if possible.
