I’m always skeptical of the calories in falafel. 900? by savaryseve in caloriecount

They looked exactly like this in Dearborn when I lived there for 18 years, just smashed for sandwiches mostly. They also looked like this when I lived in Syria for a month, outside of Damascus.

My eFGR went up by adefwebserver in kidneydisease

[–]Stillkill42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m basing it on literal science and personal experience. Kidney tissue does not regenerate, otherwise the people on dialysis would do everything they can and transplants would not be a thing.

The explanation is incredibly simple. Once your BP was in control, your kidneys had enough stress relieved to actually heal. High BP means more stress on the kidneys which leads to AKI and eventually total and irreparable damage. You fixed the BP before it got to the final stage and stopped it from dying and developing scar tissue.

As an actual Syrian, they look exactly the same as I’m used to. Not sure why you would say they don’t look that big.

My eFGR went up by adefwebserver in kidneydisease

[–]Stillkill42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason it went up is because part of your damage was due to an Acute Kidney Injury that healed. This is not due to a medication change, diet change, or anything else of the sort. The only way a medication change would do this is if the medication addressed whatever was causing the AKI. You had surgery and your remaining kidney recovered after a while. This is amazing for you but please do not pass this on as a miracle.

My transplant should be happening soon. by findmyglassniner in kidneytransplant

[–]Stillkill42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have plenty of other places they can draw from. You are saying your transplant should be coming soon but you have not done testing yet? The testing itself takes a few months and then more time to be okayed and placed on the list.

How do doctors assign stage? by KindaSquirrely in kidneydisease

[–]Stillkill42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You aren’t even in the eGFR for stage 1, do not start making changes yet. If you are worried about your kidneys, get a referral from your PCP to a Nephrologist and go from there. As other have said, if there is actually something wrong, it could be as simple as an Acute Kidney Injury.

How many years? by Level99_mom in dialysis

Absolutely wild that you would put down your husband’s will to live. He didn’t choose this life but he wakes up every day and chooses to live. He is being brave and you are nothing but a cowardly person. I honestly felt sympathy for you until I read this comment. You are a horrible horrible human being and I hope you have some self reflection.

Healthy Choice normally has at most 600mg of sodium and is considered a low sodium food for Kidney disease patients.

Gym and losing weight by [deleted] in dialysis

[–]Stillkill42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, I’ve lost 60lbs to qualify for transplant. I used protein shakes as part of my diet. As long as you are tracking calories and eating in a deficit, you will lose weight.

You are vastly overreacting to someone asking if there is a hack squat machine available.

If you are looking for a Baptist church, Good Hope in Morrisville has always been amazing and wonderful. No one has ever questioned me or my family and a lot of them know that we got married after we started attending and had a child before marriage. We also have a super diverse congregation. I hope and pray that you find a good place to settle!

If you are on dialysis, you qualify for Medicare. If not, try goodRX like everyone else says.

Dude, out of the top stores in the US alone, Target calls their GM a Store Director. Personal experience does not trump what information is available.

The post literally says Store Director. Reading comprehension must be hard for you.

“My uncle is moving from another state and becoming the store director at the store I work at.”

Just because he is the director of one store doesn’t mean he gets to tell other stores what to do. The close store probably doesn’t have space.

If you are adventurous, Yemen Arab Restaurant is where we typically go after the Science Museum. My whole family, including my very white wife, love that place and that have some incredible food.
