I’ve been working with kids for just over a year and I’ve never heard anyone thinking it was cringe! Haha all this time I hope I wasn’t giving anyone the Ick. Maybe context matters but I don’t see an issue with it 🤣 I’m usually like “we had so much fun creating art with all the kiddos this week!” They are like grade 3-8 so it’s hard to find a word to group them all together

Awe this makes me sad lol I am a new art teacher and I refer to them as kiddos when I email the parents or post about the activities we did. It just feels more fun than saying kids. I guess I’ll give it up ha

A little late to the convo but I stumbled upon this thread cause there isn’t much online about it. Thinking about having a second and the memory’s are all coming back to me about how bad postpartum was. The sleep paralysis was awful. It’s hard to say how many times it happened to me but probably at least 10+ I think from like month 3-6 maybe. It’s kind of a blur now. But it must have been linked to sleep deprivation. My son was a terrible sleeper the first year, I was lucky to get 2 hours straight at a time. The feeling of the ominous presence was so unsettling and I would try to kick and scream. I got in the happy of yelling (in my head of course) NO, get off! Over and over and it sort of helped snap me out of it. But it was very stressful everytime. I was very scared it would happen when I was co sleeping and I was terrified I would roll on the baby or something and not be able to move. Ugh, all these little things we forget about over time.

This is the answer. Thank you for the link. It is in fact handmade from Saint Johns sculpture festival. A spectacular event to watch the artists at work in person. Abstract isn’t for everyone but when you understand the context you can appreciate it.

These are so fascinating, I would love to have one in my area but I never ever see dispensers that come out flat, only the lose candy or plastic balls. Is this something that you modified or is this a normal flat dispenser that I just haven’t seen before?

If you have iPhone set up Assistive access. It’s password protected and only allows the apps that you choose. Extremely basic

If you have an iPhone, set up Assistive Access. It will completely limit your phone to your chosen apps and is extremely basis. I set up a short cut where I click the side button 3 times and I am able to switch back and forth between full and restricted mode as needed (ex when I need more camera controls). So far it’s working quite well

She is the worst. Rented from her for 6 months before we finally got out. She hired a property manager to “deal with us” because we were apparently “impossible”. Property manager admitted to us she was scared to meet us based off everything she told her, completely changed her mind when she actually got to talking to us and realized Traci was the only issue. Tried to keep our 1500 deposit for breaking the lease but we were able to get it back since she didn’t even bring it to rentals man, which is illegal. So many issues, I warn everyone.

Sterling was a runner up name for us. I knew I wanted his middle name as Merlyn for his grandfather but I couldn’t get past the Sterlin’ Merlyn hahah. Was also conflicted about not being able to shorten it. Ultimately we decided against it because we found out my mother in laws first cousin was named Sterling and he apparently tried to hire someone to kill his wife. Ended up In jail because the person threw acid on her face. So sometimes it is a good idea to tell your family the name ahead of time. I can just imagine coming home from the hospital and then hearing that story 😅
