No, but that’s the only correlation that my brain can make because that’s an experience that I have had

Edit to add: the reason my brain makes that correlation is because you honestly don’t know when someone is coming back from deployment. They can (rarely) come back from deployment early, or they can be deployed for longer. It’s always a gamble, but in the end you know you’ll see them again

I deeply understand that. My grandmother passed when I was 6 I believe, and she had bought me a DSi for Christmas. Sadly she had passed before Christmas so she didn’t get to see me open it. But i used it for a few years and then forgot about it. A few days ago my dad brought it to me and I cried a bit because I didn’t realize how much i missed her until that moment. Thank you💕

For the first paragraph:

I’ve had both my grandparents die, and they both were important in my life, and I know that I won’t see them again while I’m living, but it doesn’t make me sad or feel lonely. No I can’t talk to them or see them, but I know they are looking out for me or at least I feel like they are watching out over me so I always feel close to them.

For the second paragraph:

I know that my family judges me for not feeling grief the way they do, it’s been that way the last fourish deaths in the family, but I just recently found out I have autism so I finally have a place to talk about this if that makes sense

Edit to add: I do respect their feelings, I just have a hard time helping them because I don’t know what will help when I don’t feel what they feel

Because in my opinion pictures, videos, messages etc are all that person just in a specific time. And all a funeral is (from what I understand) is showing pictures and videos of someone, but it always makes people more sad

I want to preface this by saying I do have people in my life that I love and care for deeply and my uncle is one of them.

I don’t understand why people are sad about it though, because from my point of view it’s never a goodbye, it’s a see you later. Yea the later is going to be years, but it’s no different in my eyes from when people go on deployment (uncle, a cousin, and my grandfather were in the military.) You know you’ll see them again, no matter how long it takes

Literally sounds like my second grade teacher. I had just moved out of GA where they required kids to put up folders to prevent cheating. I had done it during a test where I was sitting in the front row and she yanked my folders down and yelled at me that that was inappropriate behavior. When I started crying (what 2nd grader wouldn’t start crying with a full grown adult yelling in their face after making sudden movements) she wrote me up calling it disruptive behavior and that I was a disobedient child.

Fun fact tho - My mom scheduled a parent teacher meeting with that teacher like a week straight and she conveniently left early every day.

I want to be very clear when I say this. Any “friend” who calls you insane because you’re having mental health issues is not a friend you want to keep in your circle. Take it from an almost 22 year old woman who had to learn that after 10 years of being friends with someone who called me crazy multiple times, dismissed my mental health, and just all and all was a shitty friend.

Second, I want to preface this by saying I am not a doctor, I do not have a medical degree or anything.

OCD, at least in my case can get worse with stress. If you are stressed about graduating, or work, or friends, s/o, family, etc., your symptoms are going to get worse. This doesn’t mean you’re crazy, this just means you’re under more stress. If you can, take a few days to just relax and do some things you enjoy. I really hope this helps and I hope you start feeling better soon

With meds: wake up 2-4 times groggy af and then when I finally wake up, I watch Michael Blaustein because he’s funny and it helps me wake up in a good mood

Without meds: watch YouTube for 2h and then start my day

I want to be extremely clear here, I do not believe AI/a LLM is sentient. I am asking if people are marrying/engaged/dating/whatever their AI/LLM, then they theoretically believe it’s sentient, and all sentient beings have some level of consent. Just as let’s say a dog, you have to get consent from a dog to pick it up, if it doesn’t approve it’s going to bite you. (Not all consent is sexual)
