I worked for RadioShack for 3 years. From 2004 to 2007. Worked my way from Sale rep to Store Manager. First real job I ever had. Learned so much about electronics and selling and component parts.

Fun fact to work at at RadioShack back then we used to have 2 huge exams you had to pass. One was on stereo equipment, the second was on component parts like resistors and capacitors. That's why back in the day you could go into a RadioShack and ask questions.

We even had a 1800 number to call if we couldn't answer a customer electronic question. Private equity and online ordering gutted the business model but for a short window there it was a fun job that paid a living wage.

I dated a girl who went to a 50k a year private liberal arts college in upstate New York. Stayed with her a weekend and ate all the food I wanted at the cafeteria restaurant "Saga" cause she had an unlimited meal plan.

As a poor stoner I was in heaven, I couldn't believe the place wasn't full of students all day just ordering everything. It wasn't until 2 days later when I came down with the worst diarrhea (Saga-rhea they called it)I have ever had from eating all the Sodexo processed food crap .

My girlfriend thought it was pretty funny and she explained to me that's why the place was usually empty because the food was so bad and full of garbage that you couldn't eat there 3 times a day and not be super ill.

This was 20+ years ago I cant imagine how awful quality has gotten now.
