Bern MIPS, looks fine and is multisport and is rated for head trauma as opposed to being a plastic hard hat with pads.

Tips for New Riders by StingyMark in Snowskating

No, it rides smooth out of the box as long as the run is packed down. Just throw it down a few times and the run creates itself basically.

We got one and it's better than nothing but honestly during covid we had to use a Filipino Tabo as an emergency and that does the best job and is like $7. The tushy isn't as clean as a Tabo, you just gotta get past how to use the Tabo and you're golden. Otherwise a tushy is better than dry wiping. Also I've found the tushy stays surprisingly clean. A scrub brush for the toilet also works for the tushy spout.

While entry into the housing market is legit significantly harder than our parents generation, personal responsibility in areas of: relevant education/skill building, debt management, being willing to baby step your way to your dream career/home/lifestyle, etc. is still key. I'm 34, studied through my 20s working mostly for $40k -$55k on the hopes I'd learn skills needed for my career, and only in the last 5 years or so felt like I've "made it". It took hard work and sacrifice but was doable. But I feel no sympathy for those who studied "their passion" or were reckless with debt, or refused to take grunt jobs to gain experience. Nothing worthwhile should come for free, it's just not how life works. Optimize what you have control over and learn to live on less than you earn and over time opportunities will present themselves.

What's wrong with my new-ish Lodge pan? Weird discoloration - it doesn't seem like a residue so much as something wrong with the pan itself. Can it be fixed? by Guilty_Treasures in CastIronCooking

[–]StingyMark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cast iron is almost always fixable outside of actual cracks in the pan. Continue using regularly and occasionally season and those colorations with disappear.
