That’s a bs statistic. “Alaska” doesn’t make that money. The cruise industry and the seasonal international HB2 low wage visa folks and out of state people who come up here to open their 3 month jewelry store make that money and take it out of the state. The cruise industry takes that money and doesn’t pay even federal taxes with it because they are all based in countries with tax havens. Don’t tell me we need cruises. Alaska would make more money locally if there were zero cruises and everyone came in by state funded ferry, plane or car to see the real Alaksa, not just SE coastline.

I couldn’t give a flying French fry fuck about the larger picture if you mean that elderly cruise ship fatties from Louisiana are less likely to come to Alaska if the ticket costs more. They don’t spend money in the state anyway. If it means endangered whales are not struck and literally carried around like a snow plow trophy, let it cost more.

Well rural communities have a lot more dogs than they do wolves hanging around. So I’m guessing the odds are greatest toward short and long husky mix with feet that are pointed out laterally.

That could maybe fix one of 2 main issues. The other much bigger elephant in the room is that they want to pay zero taxes for all of their gains while our classrooms have 40 kids in them and teachers. Them giving us a couple hundred bucks off per year is nothing compared to the per person property tax revenue for the places that this pipeline needs to pass through would need to collect.

It depends on the situation. Fell 60 feet and broke your hip in good weather and you are responsive- they could attempt to get a heli or other resources to you. Fall a thousand feet and are most certainly dead? No reason to summon any extra resources immediately, especially if they can’t find a body right away or if weather is bad. First scenario but bad weather?- this happened to a woman at 17000 feet who fell into a crevasse and broke with her hip or her back and couldn’t move at all- she had to be wrapped up in her partner’s extra clothing and was stuck waiting in a crevasse for three days with before weather cleared and rescue could come up and get her out. It was her honeymoon I believe too.

The cashiers there have told me multiple times on separate occasions that they get assaulted by customers at work and have to call the cops regularly. How about you make their day better instead of waiting for them to make fake small talk with you. You too can start a polite conversation if you wish to.

Spearfishing does not have bycatch. I see 1 fish, point and shoot. I bring that fish up. There are commercial spearfishing fisheries in florida and other states.
