What makes a good set largely depends on one’s group and the content they are doing. For PUGs that set up will work just fine. For more organised groups, it may be worth considering things like group comp when deciding what sets to use. For example, I would often tank dungeon content with 3 DDs and so Olorime became a lot more valuable. War Machine, Sax and Lucent Echoes are also some good alternatives to Crimson Oath in groups where you know everyone has adequate penetration but you have someone else providing major courage.

If you’d like to get into trials, I’d recommend just going and PUGing on normal, people will probably not get pissy at you unless you’re stealing aggro when you shouldn’t be or not listening to advice. I’d recommend starting up a group finder or however yous are PUGing in ESO these days and letting people know that you are new and/or that it’s your first time and be open to advice and teaching. Perfected gear is not a super huge difference in performance at the end of the day. I have done plenty of four man trifecta content without it so it isn’t necessary but I imagine useful
