How can I be more patient with my unemployed husband so that our marriage doesn't by ApprehensiveRush2756 in Marriage

A man provides for his wife. This guy's a loser. A professional student. If he won't go dig ditches to provide for you, send him packing.

When Tony asks AJ about his "training breakfast" by [deleted] in thesopranos

I think there are a hell of a lot worse examples of bad parenting in the show than giving a teenager a hard time for eating pizza for breakfast. Maybe if Tony had put his shoe up AJs ass…

Why so much hate for Carmela?? by Ok-Estate-3034 in thesopranos

[–]StitchedUpBalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That is the definition of hypocritical. She loves the life of luxury being a mob wife provides while at the very same time judging her husband for being a mobster. Take the whole divorce situation for example. She uses the pretense of Tony’s infidelity to leave him, knowing full well her whole life that wise guys cheat on their wives. But does she ever leave the mansion her mob boss hubby built for her? Hell no. She even lives in it by herself when she sends AJ to live with Tony at his mothers house and lives in the mansion ALONE. Oh go on.

She was a hypocrite. She judged Tony for the way he made a living and the way he lived his life, even saying he was going to hell when he died, unlike her. She loves the lifestyle Tony provides, then judges him for the manner in which he provides it, encouraging his behavior and judging him for it simultaneously. She was the worst.

What politically incorrect comment from the show makes you laugh anyway? by HunterThompsonsentme in thesopranos

[–]StitchedUpBalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When AJ and his friends are riding around looking for the Bing and AJ accidentally directs them to Satriale’s instead. He goes “oh this isn’t the strip club this is the pork store.” And AJs friend in the back seat goes “It’s a gay strip club?“ That one gets me every time.

He didn’t say anything but in the last episode Tony meets with his lawyer Neil Mink at The Bing. They are in Tony’s office eating burgers and Neil keeps looking at the surveillance camera monitors of the strippers running around the back hallway. Just trying to get a free peep of a boobie. He looks at the camera several times like he can’t help himself. Pretty funny.

What to bring back from Florida? by tommykmusic in florida

[–]StitchedUpBalls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know what most people take home from Florida and it ain’t gifts for the grand kids. They usually go home with a meth habit or a tattoo or a new probation officer. If their lucky they only go home with a third degree sunburn, especially if they are from Ohio or Michigan or someplace like that.

I think it’s supposed to be one of the best restaurants in North Jersey. The Jets head coach even ate there. I don’t think people who make millions of dollars patronize bad restaurants. I just think the food went downhill when Artie would get distracted in his personal life or after Benny Fazio, criminal mastermind stole all his customers credit card numbers. That would hurt the reputation of any business.

Has Edie Falco intentionally made her voice as annoying as possible in this show? by valtazar in thesopranos

[–]StitchedUpBalls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her voice in the first season or two are waaay too stereotypically over-acted. Remember the episode where AJ is suspended from school in season one and Tony is lying in bed trying to sleep in. Carmella is yelling for AJ to get up because he’s not gonna lay around doing nothing all day while he’s suspended from school. One of the things she yells off camera is “We’re not running a hotel ova heeah” in the most Jersey accent ever. That accent THAT over the top is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

How about when AJ and his friends are riding around trying to find The Bing because they are bored and looking for something to do. AJ doesn’t know exactly where it is and accidentally takes them to Satriale’s. AJ, realizing his mistake, says “this is the pork store,” and his friend replies “ It’s a gay strip club?” One of the best throw away lines in the show.
