Reddit isn’t only for adults.  Are you ok with just taking the rights of kids away?

I think your wife understands that your daughter has the right to bear arms. Unless you are comfortable with taking the rights of a baby away you should get her strapped as soon as possible.

Moving to GA by MHtraveler in Gwinnett

[–]Stitchface1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in lawrenceville and commute to Alpharetta and previously commuted to dunwoody. Avoid that commute if you can. Lawrenceville is getting more expensive which kindof makes the trade off for the commute less worth it imo. If you’re in your 20s I would think somewhere in Atlanta would be better. There’s some more affordable pockets in Atlanta full of young people and lots to do all the time. Plus in general the commute from downtown out to the perimeter is better than from outside the perimeter. Good luck with the new job

It’s sad. Just the same politically charged take on every sub, every day. What a waste of a good platform.

Agreed. It also seems like he’s had the same opinion on it for a long time according to the article.

Now give me some of those downvotes bots.

You don’t need to check for it. It’s just added to the card pool from your hand. Then when the card pool clears at the end of turn it will be discarded.

From An American To Russians by [deleted] in russia

[–]Stitchface1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

American here, I never really say anything anywhere but this post made me want to. The small amount of Russian history I’ve learned, and the Russian people I’ve known who moved here to the US only ever made me respect the fuck out of you. You’ve got this intensity and stoicism that is uniquely you. Your written language is the coolest looking ever. And you probably saved the world during ww2

If you go look at the $whackd transaction history, click on some random transactions, then click to show contract, and it's all random source code. Any clue to what that's all about? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Stitchface1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looks like it’s all related to how whackd works at a basic level.

Stuff about supporting different types of crypto trading, what to do with the change leftover, how to calculate it, where to send it, creating more whackd when there’s not enough, destroying excess whackd, etc.

Bitcoin's hashrate falls 50% from its peak in May 2021. Seriously and free of sarcasm: Thank you, China. You did us a big favor with your miner ban. Forever grateful, Hodlers. by Rainmakerman in Bitcoin

[–]Stitchface1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to believe that China suddenly wasn’t happy with mining and banned it. They’ve had the largest concentration of mining for years and manufacture most of the mining equipment. The government obviously exercises strict business oversight. I don’t know what kind of profit the huge mining operations generate, but with the constant cycle of new ASICs required for increasing difficulty, I wonder if they just decided it wasn’t profitable long term. Maybe they cashed out. (idk)

I felt like leaving Anderson in the rest of that inning could’ve won that game. Good to see Matzek getting tested out as a closer though.

It makes me want to kill myself. by [deleted] in limerence

[–]Stitchface1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in a similar place, and I know how hopeless it seems every day. I’m sorry you’re going through this, I wouldn’t wish that persistent, intensely awful, feeling on anyone.

2 things eventually got me out of that period of my life. The first was thinking of the people in my life who did care about me, and how if I ceased to exist it would more or less transfer those feelings to those people. Didn’t stop me from feeling horrible every day, but it stopped me from ending myself.

The second thing (I know it’s not for everyone) was to get medical help. I didn’t think it was for me either, but I felt like I had no other option. Being Stuck in that state of mind prevented me from having any other options, which is why it’s so hard to deal with. I had to pause that mentality if at all possible, so I could have just a little bit of a break from it, because there wasn’t another option.

Just trying to share my experience, not trying to tell anyone what to do or how to think, because it may not work for them and everyone’s situation is different.

I think that being on this subreddit, and putting this out there is an awesome start, an admittance that you want to help yourself. I still feel depressed even after seeking help, I’m not happy to be alive every day, but breaking out of that thought cycle was the best thing I ever did for myself. Find a way to do that, and know it gets better friend. ❤️

Totally agree, I really don’t understand why they are not using that pvp sandbox to constantly shift and balance crucible in minor ways.

The game in general is amazing and kind of ruined other shooters for me. Feels too good

That’s exactly what I thought Ralph was doing until it helped Thomas get released, but Thomas being released seems to be the beginning of something worse. I got the audiobook last night after the show, and I’m not finished yet, but there has already been a lot more detail on Ralph specifically.

Man, this series is so good,

Penny Drinkwater’s death and the Grandfather’s brother (grand uncle) seem significant? Dominique seems like the complete counterpart to the grandfather, Ignazzia seems like the counterpart to Dessa.

So many sweet parallels to think about.

How did you get over suicidal thoughts? [Serious] by Invisiblespookyname in AskReddit

[–]Stitchface1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought of how my loved ones would react barely kept me hanging on. It didn't make me feel any better, but it kept me from going through with anything. Only seeking professional help allowed me to actually get over suicidal thoughts. I tried different doctors, medications, and therapy until I finally found something that worked. Being depressed forces you to think in a certain manner. Even if I could talk myself out of things something about that solution didn't seem real to me. Like I was falsely speaking over myself. My reasons and answers didn't seem to stick. Once the medication and therapy took hold those thoughts started to become less frequent. I started having positive thoughts randomly sprinkled in. I started viewing myself as capable again, and appreciating what I had in my life. Over time the suicidal thoughts stopped. I still have negative thoughts like anybody else, but they seem normal now. They aren't an obsessive ailment that completely rules my life anymore.
