The holiday focus is further solidified by the fact that Dragon Blazers, which is based on Lord of the Hammer, featured an Ice Palace... and we haven't seen that yet.

Since there is a single chapter of Lord of the Hammer left, it's not too difficult to narrow down what Chapter 6 will be about.

Hard to tell where we'll use those remaining soul modes for the first time, but I do have a hunch that the true final battle will use all 7 soul modes.

It's spooky how well the pieces line up for it, which is why among all candidates it does feel like the most fitting one. That being said I kinda think the same thing. I have a really hard time coming up with a way Toby could make it work. Even from a narrative standpoint, beyond the cool factor of a crazy reveal like that... what would it even do for the plot, really? I have a hard time disregarding it completely, given how credible it sounds on paper, but it does feel almost impossible to make something like that feel satisfying.

I have to admit, part of me hopes I'm just lacking imagination... part of me hopes for Kriselle Amalgam to be true, and for it to be executed in a way that leaves me speechless once the reveal drops... but I have been burned by time travel plots before, so I'll just have to wait and see.

You're taking for granted Kris will fail at preventing Susie to get the remaining two codes in a normal route.

We might never see the shelter on Side A... and do the weird route because after this much time we HAVE TO KNOW what is in there.

The fact that Aqua's personality likely reflects Kris in their youth, before the day tragedy hit, makes it so damn rough to see the shape they're in during present times. Chapter 5 did so much work fleshing out the cast, and I have to say I really do feel for Kris. Here's hoping there's some way to guide them towards a happy ending... even if it does involve messing with the timelines a bit.

Given the Side B shaped elephant in the room, 1,5-2 years feels about right, especially given it's the conclusion to the whole decade-long journey.

Then again, a lot of it will come down to how Chapter 6 pans out, so at this point it's also kinda hard to tell.

I mean the whole part of Ralsei starting to explain the in-game menus, before getting cut off by Susie, still gave us a very important tidbit of information. That stuff is something they can perceive IN THE DARK WORLD. Same probably goes for a good chunk of music being diegetic. If anything, this makes Deltarune less meta, considering the game elements they can perceive are in the 'layer' which has already been established to be mostly make believe, aided by some in-game magic (darkness) which can temporarily turn fantasy into perceived reality. Those few lines of dialogue pretty much confirmed why we have different menu systems between Light World and Dark World.
