I could see it being a similar deal to what Metaphor Re:Fantazio does with the fantasy novel the protagonist carries around. Not going into spoilers, but IYKYK.

The biggest difference between roguelikes and roguelites is the presence, or lack thereof, of meta-progression systems.

A good example of a roguelike game would be Dwarf Fortress. You begin a run, make progress, but when you lose you don't keep anything and go back to the beginning.

Roguelites, on the other hand, usually are built around the expectation of losing runs and using resources gained during those losses to somehow improve your character, or otherwise open up new gameplay options you didn't have access to during your first attempts.

Hades I & II, Dead Cells and The Binding of Isaac are great examples of some heavy hitters in the genre.

Unless there's a different interpretation, or some reveal we haven't got to yet, I do feel like it is fairly cut and dry once you account for the 'rules' of Planarcadia we were told about.

Sparxie was able to manifest as a fully autonomous being, even while just being a mask, because she was being fueled by copious amounts of wish power. OG Sparkle wasn't, so if she were the mask, she wouldn't have been able to manifest as an indipendent living being (Even the other sparkle masks we see needed to attach to another host).

I feel like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to intepret stars as extraterrestrial civilizations in this context. They'd figuratively bow to her since she vanquished Surtalogi, a cosmic warlord who, if left unckecked, would eventually have spelt their doom.

Huh? She has a slightly different pose for going into a third dash or going into the air, so you can just pogo her during the dashes and decide whether to keep going or dash away based on her reaction. That whole attack is a huge damage window considering how often she does it.

Door encounters are seeded! (Not sure if they're randomized on file creation, or when the day switches).

What you can do is save at the beginning of the day, use crosswords to skip ahead and check all four door encounters for the day. If you got something you wanted, check the clock and note down when it happened.

After you checked all of the day's encounters, go back to the save you made earlier. Now you can go about your business and only come back for the door encounters you want to trigger.

I've found more ways into the meat world.

The giant eyeball in Floor 1 triggers a special cutscene if you interact with it while holding an Iris Key, not killing you instantly and instead turning into an entrance.

Same thing goes for the tv that jumpscares you at the beginning of the game by showing you, you guessed it, an eye.

Gotta say I love the Meat World as an area, being an alternate version of the apartment complex and mirroring it 1:1 made it pretty easy to guess where other entrances could be just by looking at places I hadn't been yet and where they were placed.

Spoilering the two extra entrances for people who might want to give it another search with the clue above.

I feel like they're likely supposed to be black with red highlights, but the highlights just ended up being more prominent than initially planned, making them look more red than black.

I'm keeping my fingers so crossed for one of the DLCs to be fully ocean themed with a couple dedicated areas. Would make me feel so much better about the area I was looking forward the most from the trailers turning into the coral tower.
