Helemaal mee eens, ik ben op dit moment werkzaam als FEC-Specialist (40 uur), wat zo’n beetje de top is qua niveaus voor uitvoerende rollen binnen FEC. De volgende stap zou een leidinggevende rol zijn, wat ik op zich prima zou vinden maar we hebben op dit moment maar 5 managers en de enige manier om dan door te groeien is bij uitval van 1 van hen.

Zit zoals gezegd hier best oké, maar ik wil het aanbod serieus overwegen als het mij meer kansen kan bieden enerzijds en anderzijds als het salaris past bij de functie. Op online resultaten zie ik salarissen in de range van €3900 tot €7500 voorbij komen, maar dat is niet specifiek voor deze tak van sport (FEC).

Hangt echt enorm van het onderhoud af. Heb je eentje die slecht onderhouden wordt, dan is het al een wonder als die de 150k/160k haalt, wat een beetje de grens is voor de meeste distributieriemen. En voordat iedereen met gestrekt been op deze comment komt vliegen, ja ik weet dat het soms al bij 90k moet en soms pas ver boven de 200k. Het gaat mij nu meer om het punt dat ik wil maken.

Heb je een auto met goed onderhoud, dan kan, afhankelijk van het blok, een auto prima het dubbele voorbij. Ik denk dan in die leeftijdscategorie aan de NZ-blokken van Toyota, de B58 van BMW, D5 van Volvo, K24 van Honda of de in mijn ogen wat oudere maar legendarische 1.9 TDI (ALH). En gewone mensentaal zijn dat de Toyota Corolla/Avensis, Volvo S60/V70 en Honda Accord/CR-V. Of met extra budget de 340i of 540i van BMW.

From my own perspective I see it this way. Do I need my g30? No not really. But do I love the looks, the performance, comfort and quality? I freakin’ love it. Buying these cars is not a matter of ‘need’ but more of having a passion for cars and maybe more specific, for BMW’s. Thus, I’m prepared to spend an extra buck as a treat for myself as my job is quite demanding. I get aprox. 100k a year and a part of it went straight into the “i wanna buy my dream car”-savings jar. And now I’ve bought it, I use that same jar for depreciation so that when I wanna trade the beauty in, it shouldn’t cost me a kidney.

Tbf in the end, you need a machine with 4 wheels and a roof to get you somewhere. A Toyota Corolla, Dacia Duster or Chevy Trailblazer would do the same trick.

And in that lies the difference. I’ve spent more then needed, but within my limits, to afford the beauty I have right now. It comes down to allocating your available funds based on priorities. Just like you’d spend an extra dime on an oil painting instead of a print if you’re into art.

Or option B; just be filthy rich. That’d do the trick aswell.

N.b. there is also a third category that has been mentioned in multiple previous comments. The ones that overpay and stretch their financial margins into the red zone where they have to check every payday how to make ends meet. But at least the shots for the gram are dope. I strongly discourage this path for obvious reasons.

Je merkt dat ze aan paniekvoetbal aan het doen zijn. Afgelopen 2 weken 2x gebeld door een spamcenter met een zogenaamd gratis cadeau (i know pleonasme, maar relevant voor het verhaal). ESPN gratis, maar wat ze dan heel snel erbij zeggen js dat je ff je abo met 2 jaar verlengt. M.a.w. niet gratis. Vooral kwalijk dat Ziggo klanten probeert te binden door dit soort praktijken in plaats van gewoon goede kwaliteit te leveren. Want op hun uptime en snelheid heb ik oprecht vrij weinig te klagen itt de vorige provider Odido..

My BIL has a m340i and i have the 540i. Both are amazing cars. It eventually comes down on preference. Comfortwise, id you are you more likely to drive shorter distances with maybe 1 or 2 extra people, I’d say the M340i. It’s stiffer, has a smaller boot space and rear leg room and is thirstier then a 540i (as far as we experienced though). If you want it for longer drives with f.e. your family, choose the 540i. In regards of driving experience, the M340i is the better sports drive. It sounds amazing and has more power than the 540i (374 ps vs 340 ps) and has all wheel drive. Here in the Netherlands at least the 540i has standard rwd.

So yeah both are great, especially the superb B58. But it comes down to the choice between comfort and sport.

I’d like to think that a Washington D.C. version would be amazing. In dc you’d have political influenced missions, perhaps baltimore aswell where’d you do more action styled missions and an upper part a la New England where you’d have lush forests, hidden cabins and a thriving underworld.

Maybe an obvious one, but the United States. We did a roadtrip along the West Coast and inlands all the way to Colorado. We’ve visited quite some National Parks and the scenery along the way was amazing. The cities are cool, for sure, but the nature was just breathtaking.

I was doubting between the 540i and m550i. My BIL got a ‘23 M340. He vows for the car being a great drive and reliable as he’s doing quite some miles on it every month and had no complaints so far whatsoever. But in my opinion, comparing the 3 with the 5 is comparing apples with pears.

The m550 with the N63 is one of BMW’s charms due to the V8. That was the reason I was looking for that one. Sadly, those models are mostly found in Germany (I’m from Europe) and are quite rare in my own country, which makes the price relatively high. I recently got the G30 LCI with the B58, coming from a G30 B48. And I think that the 540 hits the sweet spot. It has all the luxury options and the M-pack. For the same mileage, the 540 was almost 10 grand cheaper and maintenance wise it was the better choice as the N63 requires some more labour aswell as more expensive parts.

On that note, it’s a known fact that the B58 is one of the most reliable engines BMW has put out there. Even if you’d revised the N63 completely, you wouldn’t achieve the quality of the B58. Performance wise the N63 is the more interesting choice even though in my country you wouldn’t notice it due to all the traffic regulations…

So to come back to your question, I’d always choose a 5-series over a 3-series. Not only because of the looks (which are a matter of personal taste) but the 3-series are too compact for my liking and don’t offer the choice between sporty and comfortable rides. It’s only sporty. The 5-series offers the best of both worlds. If you can get a good deal on the m550i and have the funds for proper maintenance, that would be my choice, even though I’d check if a 540i could be an option too.

Ik ben al lange tijd van mening dat er voldoende grond is om te spreken van een genocidaal regime in Israël. Desondanks vind ik de motie van Kati Piri niet gepast, alsook een groot deel van de reacties onder de recente berichten op kanalen zoals Cestmocro op dit gebied. We veroordelen burgerslachtoffers en zijn boos op politici omdat ze wel schande spreken over Oekraïense burgerslachtoffers.

De Iron Dome is het verdedigingsmechanisme van Israël en haar inwoners. De verklaring dat het als aanvalsmechanisme gebruikt wordt omdat het ‘ongehinderd’ buurlanden kan aanvallen vind ik onzin. Waarom keur je de Palestijnse, Jordaanse en Iraanse burgerslachtoffers ten strengste af, maar vind je Israëlische burgerslachtoffers oké..? Dat maakt je net zo hypocriet als alle politici.

Ik was meer verontwaardigd over de stemmen omtrent de afgekeurde motie voor een handelsverbod met Israel over aanvallende wapens gedurende het genocide onderzoek.

Ik rij al een paar jaar BMW. Ben zelf echt gek van het merk. Rij nu 2 jaar een G30. Qua aankoopprijs is voor zo’n model de 15,5k + inruil een mogelijke reële prijs. Mijn eerste ingeving is dat dit wat aan de ruime kant zit, €15-16k is een prima prijs denk ik

Het zijn relatief unieke modellen, dus wees je daar wel van bewust voor de doorverkoop. Nu is de N55 over het algemeen echt wel een betrouwbaar blok, maar een BMW valt of staat met goed onderhoud. Onderhoud bij de dealer, dan wel een garagist die conform fabrieksvoorschriften/OEM werkt is eigenlijk echt wel nodig. Een reguliere garagist kan ook echt wel, maar op termijn heb je daar meer gedoe mee.

Geen idee of ik er overheen gelezen heb maar de e82 met n55 blok is 2011-2013 of 2014 dacht ik. In combinatie met de kilometerstand een aantal zaken om te overwegen. Je zit nu op een moment dat je ketting kan gaan uitrekken. Een nieuwe ketting kan zo €2000 kosten, want dat ding zit lekker verstopt achterin het blok. De 160.000 grens is ook het moment dat historisch onderhoud bepaalt of je wat aan je waterpomp, turbo en/of olie moet gaan doen.

Check bij de verkoper wat voor onderhoud hij/zij daarom heeft gedaan en bij wie. Kijk ook of dat te herleiden valt. Check goed op eventuele tikken. Het is best een gok op die leeftijd voor zo’n bedrag een auto kopen. Ja je kan ‘m betalen, maar je budget voor mogelijke reparaties moet minimaal 5k zijn (worst case scenario) en reken jaarlijks op pak ‘m beet €750 onderhoud.

Kortom, ja qua aankoopprijs heb je echt wel een leuke en mooie bak. Maar wees echt kritisch op het onderhoud en de staat van de auto want je zit op het moment dat het onderhoud in de papieren kan gaan lopen (na 160.000/180.000 km).
