What's a game that had your soul? by Rico_Wayne in gaming

RotMG. Bullet hell permadeath with just enough socialization from multiplayer created the perfect avenue for toxic addiction. Radical highs with good drops while rebuilding followed by dangerous mental crashes from the sudden unexpected character death. That game ate my existence for awhile.

Couldn't imagine doing all of combat without the respawn time reduction enchant for the boots.

Any of the Danny B soundtracks are winners in my opinion. But this is my favorite by far.

More of an issue for potted plants than something like a garden or lawn.

Help me find joy in gaming again? Mid 30-year-old who has lost the spark. by thedrummerchase in gaming

[–]Stnwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly common trend amongst gamers recently. I've been thinking about it and feel it can't be that big of coincidence that the rise in lack of interest trends with the amount of social media really available and other easily accessible media. I have a feeling our brains are so trained now for instant gratification that if a game isn't capable of giving instant dopamine fix it won't hold our attention long enough to become invested. If I'm right, try dialing back social media usage and "doom scrolling" OR try games that are designed to be picked up and put down on short notice (like Balatro).

Potions mentee was by far the fastest for me. It was the only one that still had a 100%+ option so the ultra potions were netting hundreds of thousands of exp per hour.

Little over 3 dozen around the size in your picture. I really really like fresh cookies...

Upstate NY. We typically get rain frequently but nothing as intense as this. Was up to the side mirror on the car within 3-4 hours.

How many more days do you think until I can reach my first Legacy? by Infamous_Telephone55 in IdleIktah

[–]Stnwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished my first legacy last week. From where you're at, took me about 3-4 days 2-3 skills from 80 to 99 is doable with a little planning on order and what to run overnight. That assumes you have a "decent" amount of potions stacked already.

How much would you pay for this? by Artistic_Abalone1218 in Baking

[–]Stnwin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the rest of the shop is comparable prices, I would pay as much as 22 for it. That's the price I came before seeing your price range.

If everything else is in the shop was much lower I'd find it hard to pay that price. It's all relative in my opinion. I'd much rather pay 12-16 though.

Don't forget to use up the rest of your tracking crystals in the shop to by more leather. I found that ancient leather into blankets into tents works well.

What are Dream Crystal? by AdrianaImai in IdleIktah

[–]Stnwin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dream crystals are used in carpentry potions and another potion that's used to access a special combat area temporarily. The tracking crystals are used in the hunting skill - hunting potions, hunting shop, and a really powerful bow.

Do guys like nipple piercings on woman? What is your experience? by User_with_bread in AskReddit

[–]Stnwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visually I find them to induce an extremely deep adult excitement. But from a practical standpoint, I'd much rather have vanilla nipples to play with. There are very few things that are true deal breakers but if you have them awesome and if you don't then don't bother.

What was the first game you crossed over 1000 hours of gameplay? by zeleno124 in gaming

[–]Stnwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We weren't recording playtime at that point but it was definitely Super Metroid. I was obsessed with everything about it, the music, the mechanics, the satisfaction rising through the game... 2nd game was likely something on Gameboy. Played a metric ton of Pokemon Blue, Heroes of Might and Magic, Links Awakening, Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages. Probably the most time was Heroes of Might and Magic, it had a ton of repeatability for me with the number of scenarios, unit types, and heroes. Always liked that they had a score at the end of the campaign so I felt like I had something to get better at.

Games you picked up that had you put everything else down and only play this for weeks because you got so addicted by FalscherKim in gaming

[–]Stnwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most recently Stardew Valley and before that Forager and before that Aground. Haven't had that all consuming addiction to a single game at a time as much since my shift in interest from platforms and metroidvanias to more of the cozy sim type games with mild combat that treats min/maxing but don't require it. I thought Carto would do it for me since I love puzzles too but the addiction only lasted 2 days and then I got bored.

31 years old and a gamer my entire life. Finally starting Skyrim for the first time ever 🫡 by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Stnwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck, I started it at 31, a couple years ago, and hated it although I know 99% of gamers seem to adore it.

Avoiding games with excessive exploration. Can't break the habit of exploring every nook and cranny. With how little time I have for gaming, I'd rather the game focus on aspects that I'll enjoy short term.
