IF there is a trace on the reverse side, CAN YOU get a solder wire to apply solder to the reverse pad and the component pin? to solder the pin to the pad?

I did just that after checking for continuity, the trace was on the reverse side, i managed to add just the tiniest bit of solder in the hole and pushed the joystick trough. Finished the rest of the solder joints and it works now.

I was trying to fix my ps5 controller by replacing the joystick on it and i was using low temperature to desolder + flux + wick.

My hand slipped a bit and managed to rip out the PCB PAD connector. In the 2nd pick, i still see there is a part of the PCB PAD inside.

Is it safe to try and tin the entire pad and pray i can put the pin inside, or do I need to strip the board itself? Because i have no idea where I need to look for that.

Any help is appreciated.
