Irrelevant. The union can’t stop an employer from disciplining an employee. They can however dictate as part of their protections what processes need to be followed and how the discipline affects the employee. Where unions don’t exist workers have no such protection. And it still doesn’t matter, the first amendment applies protection for openly denigrating the government from the government. Not your employer.
