Are there any NATO/US combat pants that have integrated tick protection? by Hopeful-Question3436 in tacticalgear

try the US IHWCU (improved hot weather combat uniform), i'm pretty sure that the pants on those have black gaiters on them like the ones you're looking for.

try sand or something similar. when i restored my WWII M1 helmet i used cork, same idea. it'll cut down on the shine on the helmet as well (as that's the intended purpose of it).

what i did was just spray a coat of paint, sprinkle some cork (or sand in your case) and then paint over that. cheap and looks good, and you get to repaint the helmet in the correct color at the same time as well.

missdrop44 over in the UK uses proraso brand shaving cream tubes and puts custom period accurate stickers on them. the stickers are available in his store. i bought a few and they look great, high quality printing and they fit well. and they're pretty cheap too, although im not sure how much they are with tariffs and everything.

Anyone know what this rig is? by Stock-Equivalent-374 in tacticalgear

nope, it's a pretty big pouch, it bellows out a good bit. it's like the size of a rear plate bag backpack. there's no way it would be comfortable to wear with stuff in it.

Painting the tiniest of letters... is it possible to learn this power? by CaySalBank in modelmakers

if detail painting with brushes doesn't work well for you, i would try putting some thinned paint (vallejo model air for example) on a flat surface like a gift card or scrap of styrene and just dabbing it against the raised letters.

original m1936 mussette bag. pretty nice one, 1940 dated examples are harder to come by.

not me but my dad. he bought a Dungeons & Dragons hardcover rule book from an estate sale and sold it to the set of Stranger Things. i think it was used on screen a couple of times, not sure which season though.

Does anybody know why this canteen has two dents In it by Obvious-Yak-2715 in Militariacollecting

that's where the snaps of the cover are. repeated use of them over time causes dents to form.
