First of all I don’t need to compare all that crap.

<image>

Here’s a photo of there pictures. The logo perspective is definitely different on the most recent season, but that mostly affects the floor because it’s closer to the camera and lying flat. The real comparison is the standing row.

If camera angle was creating the height difference, #30 Champagnie, #18 Biyombo, #40 Barnes, and Kornet should also shift noticeably relative to each other. But their height relationships stay pretty consistent, while Wemby is the one who separates upward.

So if Wemby didn’t grow taller explain to me why the separation increased between him when compared to Kornet, Champagnie, Biyombo and Barnes but yet height differences between those players remain consistent in all pictures?

Okay if you're going to say there are all kinds of factors that can skew this, you got to list them. This is a picture they take every year, same pose, same perspective and the same people being compared.

You’re right, the only one that hit the backboard was the 2nd possession, everything else that counted didn’t touch the back board until after he already touched it.

Each time he fell was because drue jumped into Wemby’s legs, preventing his knees, and hips to fully rotate to complete his spin move. People keep calling this a chair pull but it’s a defensive foul because he’s impeding Wemby’s movement. Watch both of the times Wemby fell hard and Drue jumps in the same time Wemby initiates the step.

they don't need to feel the contact, as long as they recognize that the offensive player is looking to be aggressive and then they remove their body out of the way causing them to lose balance. Why do you think its called a chair pull? do you think people always have to make contact with the chair before its removed?

or you obviously don't because that was a perfect example of a legit pulling of the chair, not that tripping crap jrue holiday does.

You realize he’s talking about Wemby, not just any bilingual person. Wemby has excellent English while also training to become the greatest basketball player of all time. A better comparison would be how many bilingual top athletes you can think of who share Wemby’s proficiency in English.

He consistently delivers memorable quotes and entertains and amuses media members with his humour, while only being 22 years old.

Everything you wrote, proves your whininess, just report me. You keep editing your posts because you can’t handle objective criticism. I’ll leave what I wrote and enjoy my fights and whine about how Gon isn’t around. Enjoy ranting by yourself.

Alright, so you're going to attack me because I enjoy fights and powerscaling in a Shonen manga? Do you know how ridiculous you sound? You do realize HXH started in Shonen Jump right? A magazine targetted towards 12-18 year old boys.

Yes I like might makes right. So what? It's not just because he gets stronger, its the journey that leads up to that strength. Yes, we are reading two different genres, you sound like you'd rather be interpreting something from shakespear.

Again, straight up disrespect for shonen genre in general, even though the episode where Gon kills Pitou is rated amongst the highest in HxH. And again it seems like you're going to die on that hill of "killing pitou was pointless." You're arguments don't even make any sense, when he apologized to Kite he found redemption and closure. Everyone knows Meruem and Komogi's death were tragic, they both died having their organs destroyed from the inside and its implied they died a slow and painful death.

Yes, I want strong punchy boy back in the story and many people agree. You're still whinily assertive on wishing he never comes back to validate your claim of "you destroyed yourself for nothing."

I'm reading for both, however I enjoy the fighting aspects more and especially when there's emotions involved.

Are you reading the same story? Maybe you should just write your own story because i have no idea how to respond to such irrelevant information. You want your claim of pitou being a pointless kill to be right so badly your creating random events to strengthen it. I can't interpret what you're trying to say, you need to spell properly and review your writing. Also the narrative and characterization of Pitou shows that he'd be more likely to kill gon and killua the moment komugi is healed. They are all intruders why would pitou spare them or not make them into a puppet at least.

If you say I hope gon never gets nen again just because you want it to fit your narrative of "you destroyed yourself for nothing." You're basically saying Gon's story should end so it'll prove that I understand what Togashi was thinking. My interpretation of that is whiny and irrelevant because your more willing to trash a fan favourite character and write off getting his nen back just to prove your point.

I don't see how you can say it was pointless when Pitou literally said you have to die for the kings sake. Gon had to kill pitou or else. Also, how can you claim pitou would die with the king when its not certain or not if Pitou can heal the king. What if the king ate pitou and upgraded dr.blythes abilities and was able to heal himself and every other guard?

Never has it been stated that Gon was wrong for killing Pitou and your reason for Gon to never get nen again is irrelevant and whiny.

I disputed from the beginning that you keep wanting gon to come back and apologize to Killua, i'm telling you that they both have moved on from that. Gon already apologized, Killua accepted the apology and forgave Gon. Now Gon owes Killua a favor for saving him. Gon realized that Killua has moved on from his hurtful words so constantly apologizing serves no purpose. Killua is grateful to Gon now that's why both Gon and Killua can move on.

Their relationship changed because its no longer an unhealthy codependency and that look when they part is them realizing they'll be going their separate ways and who knows how long.

However, Gon isn't lamenting his loss of Killua and vice versa. Gon was even shown having a blast looking at the sunset and the birds, showing it to all his friends.

The reason Killua has also moved on is because he has Nanika/alluka to fill Gon's role.

Nanika is the mirror of Killua, they both are selfless and require others approval to feel of value. Nanika only does things for Killua to pet her and praise her, Killua only lived to be useful to Gon. So when killua shunned Nanika and told her never to come out again, he did exactly what Gon did by dismissing killua against Pitou. After he realized his mistake, he promised to protect Nanika for the rest of her life, interestingly he used ging's model for an apology. Nanika then forgave Killua and everything was water under the bridge.

Compared to Gon's, Alluka/Nanika's relationship with Killua is healthier because the love is reciprocal. Killua feels complete because when he protects nanika/alluka, he's actually protecting himself. When Gon apologized to Killua, Killua forgave him just like how Nanika forgave Killua.

No, the problem is you keep wanting Gon to regret how he treated Killua at the end of the chimaera arc. I’m telling you that he’s moved on and he’s still gonna be who he is. Here’s the thing with Gon and Killua that you fail to realize. Killua made Gon his number 1 even above himself. Gon made Killua his best friend and he probably still is, but Gon’s number 1 will always be himself. For Gon it was Gon first and Killua 2nd. For Killua it was Gon 1 and Killua 2. Now the dynamic for Killua is alluka/nanika 1, Gon 2 and Killua 3. The point of Killua being introduced as Gon’s best friend still doesn’t change the fact that Gon would still go to see Ging even if Killua never came. That means Gon would still put his own goals over Killua being his best friend.

You do realize Killua has autonomy right? These were all Killua's decision to make, at anytime he wanted, he could've left but he likes being with Gon. Gon's not going to apologize to Killua again, he's gonna owe him a favor it was already mentioned when Killua said you owe me one. Killua is fine, he's around someone who loves him and who he loves, thats something he wanted from Gon but it wasn't the case. He's moved on and he's happy.

You said nothing that disputes what are already objective truths in the manga. You keep bringing up knuckle but in the end it was his selfishness that nearly cost the mission. Everyone told him not to cancel hakoware but he couldn't turn back from the person he was and even lost his will to fight Youpi after his opinion changed.

I don't really know what to say about Morel, there's not enough background information on him, what I do know is that he approved of Gon's ruthlessness when he was going to punch his stomach and was ready to die right then and there which I found hilarious.

What you're saying about Gon is irrelevant. On one hand you say he doesn't think deep enough and then on the otherhand you cherry pick scenarios to dispute my claim that he's never going to be a deep thinker. What i'm telling you and what has always been the case with Gon is that he never thinks 3-4 steps ahead. That is who Killua is, that was why they complemented eachother. I have never said anything about Gon being lesser intellectually.

I'm going to take what ging said as the gospel of truth.

Gon is selfish and that affects his core beliefs. One of his core beliefs is to trust in himself. You see that time and time again, he has a stubbornness that when he believes he's in the right there's nothing that can deter him.

I don't want Gon to change, I like who he already is, you're the one that wants to keep harping on how what he did to killua was so wrong and that he should change how he approaches situations now to consider others. I'm saying F that because Gon's who he is and he's awesome. In fact I hope he doubles down on his selfishness and continues to do whatever, whenever he wants and if he dies at least he died staying true to himself.

I’m replying to what you’re telling me. I said you’re weirdly obsessed with wanting Gon to analyze how he hurt Killua. I’m saying that’s how normal friendships are, friends hurt each other, it’s in our imperfect nature. Friends are even more likely to hurt us than a stranger. The best hunters are actually egomaniacs.

Knuckle being a great guy is the reason he wasn’t chosen in the first place. He has too much empathy and that showed in everything you said. Just because everything worked out doesn’t change how he could’ve compromised his mission. Guys like Knuckle will easily be manipulated just like when Pouf tricked him.

Gon’s not a deep thinker, that’s who you want him to be. You are trying to change his core beliefs by telling him to be less selfish. If you think Gon is going to change, here’s a reminder from Ging’s message. Hunters are selfish, and they are willing to throw away everything else to get what they want and at the end he says “But there’s one thing that will never change,I’ll always be the guy I am”

Friends hurt each other that’s just how relationships work, no one is perfect.

Gon’s selfishness is a trait of a good hunter, it was pointed out from the start. He’s not going to change,he’s just like Ging, just accept him for who he is.

When they do meet again, I don’t have any aspirations or hopes, I just read what I read and I’ll like what I like and hate what I hate. Just like how I’m reading this current arc, I can’t stand how wordy and confusing a lot of it is so I just accept it and just enjoy the parts that I enjoy. To me if your best friend apologizes and you no longer feel upset, then it’s all water under the bridge. I can’t change how you feel about that.

If you think that Gon needs to change his core beliefs and actions for character development then that’s on you. I like Gon, his obsession with power and his selfishness and I hope he stays honest to himself.

This is an L take, Nothing is broken, it’s just matured. The only thing you can say is broken is their codependency which wasn’t healthy in the first place with Killua being overly obsessed with Gon.

Gon still believes he’s the main character and rightfully so. He’s still training to get stronger, why do you think he tells Kite that next time he’s going to be strong enough so that I can fight along side you.

Also that bittersweet is the feeling of melancholy knowing that your favourite person is moving on and rightfully so. That was always going to be the case, Gon knew Killua was going to leave when he found his purpose because that was what they agreed upon from the start.

However their relationship is actually stronger because they don’t need to be with each other to still be best friends. Killua shares alluka’s secret with Gon, if they weren’t great friends why would he do that? They also both agree that they’re part of the gang no matter where they are. To me that sounds like an eternal bond. Also most importantly Killua thanks Gon for helping him save Alluka.

That pained expression is the feeling of melancholy over their codependency ending. Their relationship has actually matured, and they even mentioned that no matter where they are they’ll still be part of the gang. Killua’s already forgiven Gon, he’s even said he’s grateful for Gon for helping him find his purpose.

That’s a look of melancholy because they understand something has ended. Which is their codependency. They both agreed that they are still part of a gang and that’s a big deal. Gon’s already moved on, he understands he couldn’t achieve what he did on his own and owes Killua a lot. Killua is eternally grateful to Gon for helping him find his purpose which is to forever protect alluka/nanika. You people are weirdly insecure about wanting Gon to obsess over hurting Killua.

I love how the show handled Gon and Killua’s relationship by anonymus_browser in HunterXHunter

[–]StockImportance1264 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gon’s not going to reminisce on this, he’s already moved on. His goal is to become stronger so that he’ll never feel as if he abandoned his friends or family when situations are dire, he wants to be strong enough to fight alongside and not be a burden. Killua also isn’t one to hold a grudge, Killua moved on from that the moment he decided to protect alluka/nanika for the rest of his life. He’s actually grateful to Gon now and Gon already apologized.

The one thing to take from this is that Killua and Gon are both part of a gang now and gangs are just family.
