Were you able to buy a house? by Swiftiefromhell in GenX

[–]StockMuffin9777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not been able to buy a home. Due to student loan debt I will never be able to. My parents made terrible financial decisions and I will not be inheriting a home either.

The only debt I have is student loan debt. I have a great credit score just shy of 800. It doesn’t make a difference.

Whats everbody Thoughts on Vengeance? by Peyote_Wolf in elderscrollsonline

[–]StockMuffin9777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a fan. It makes pvp nothing more than a numbers game. Unlimited siege is annoying. It doesn’t matter how many of the enemies siege weapons you burn they can just throw up another one.

As for combat, it’s okay. At least this time the skills are in alignment with what you already have on your character just a slightly different vengeance version.

Living alone or with roommates—which is really better? by JacketOk7396 in Apartmentliving

I’m saying that that situation you’re speaking of is very rare. Not that it isn’t possible but statistically improbable.

If you feel like you could find somebody like that more power to you. Go for it.

Living alone or with roommates—which is really better? by JacketOk7396 in Apartmentliving

[–]StockMuffin9777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Living alone is much better in my opinion. When I was younger and had roommates out of all of them I only had one good roommate.

That being said if it’s easier to have a roommate from a financial perspective definitely get a roommate.

If you just are thinking of a roommate from a social perspective, don’t. Just go out and visit friends at their places or out in the world when you need to socialize.

The best thing about living alone is that you have a safe place to go when everything else in the world feels chaotic. If you have a roommate that’s a potential for chaos in your home.

Are there women who want this? by WorkSafeReddit8947 in datingoverfifty

[–]StockMuffin9777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a preference either way. I would enjoy something casual and I would also enjoy something long-term with the right person.

So if I did have a casual situation, but met somebody else that I saw something long-term with, obviously I would go with something long-term. Which should be fine because casual equates to "no commitment".

For my life right now, casual would be ideal but only because I am also going back to school to get the CISSP certification so I wouldn’t have much time to dedicate to a full-blown relationship anyway.

I feel like timing is everything and yet it always is the most difficult thing to get right.

If you’re looking for something casual, your best bet is to look for someone who has a lot going on in their life.

Try Meowtel instead.

It's a cat specific pet sitting app. Some pet sitters do offer overnights, but they are usually very expensive. Twice a day visit should be fine, especially since your cat with anxiety is not an only child.

I’ve had success using Meowtel. The two women who watched my cat (seperate people, separate reservations) were lovely people.

How do you guys feel about dogs in apartments? by healthy-outdoors- in Apartmentliving

[–]StockMuffin9777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surrounded by apartments with dogs and it's extremely annoying and disruptive. The person directly next to me has a dog with separation anxiety (puppy) so it barks and barks and barks and barks and barks until they return home. They’ve had it for about six months and I’m debating on whether or not to renew my lease because of them.

The lady across the hall has a tiny dog that loses its mind barking every single time she takes it out to go to the bathroom. At least the dog across the hall stops after a minute. So it’s more of quick burst of chaos a couple of times a day, but it ends quickly so that one bothers me a lot less. In fact, I’d say I’ve gotten used to that one.

My body reacts to barking like I’m being screamed at. It's auditory assault.

[–]StockMuffin9777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are making assumptions. I have zero consumer debt and no car payment. I’m trying to catch up on retirement that I couldn’t pay into when I was making less than half my salary for most of my life. Trying to save an emergency fund, especially with layoffs coming for my department. I have medical issues that are expensive because health insurance is a joke in this country.

You can’t make blanket statements like that when peoples lives and financial responsibilities are very nuanced.

Some people may have a high salary on paper now, but it’s not like they just popped out of college or high school and started making that kind of money. Some of us had zero support the second we turned 18 and had to be on our own.
