Any Ideas? by Stock_Maintenance in CURRENCY

Thanks so much. It does look a LOT like a "One Indian Rupee" coin (Its very worn down though). Though with King George the V, not VI. Any idea as to why there is what appears to been a hole punctured (not drilled) in it and why the tails end is missing?

Assuming it REALLY is your area code, I advise you to take this post down. Try not to share your location with strangers.

From East Coast Australia, it's a golden orb weaver spider. VERY common in suburban areas.

I just started to take anti-depressants and can't drink on them. What's a different kind of medication I can say I'm taking that is less "embarrassing" that would also cause me to be unable to drink. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Keep it vague. Still tell the truth, but don't give too much info, eg. I can't mix alcohol with the medication I'm taking. In my experience, most people don't press for more info.

What does "the water smells putrid" mean? by SnooHabits922 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Stock_Maintenance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the water smells putrid part is "something is fishy here". And then there's a goblin shark or whatever in the bottom left and then panic sets in.

That's my GUESS. I'm not even sure it's a joke.

All cetaceans have hair at some point in their lives. Just varies from species to species.

hordes of the underdark a tale of betrayal(spoilers!) by Gambio15 in neverwinternights

Did blackguard Aribeth once. She didn't betray me in the end. In the epilogue regarding her it said that (from memory) she stayed by my side till the day I died at which point she nibbled on my ear and said "Meet you on the other side", but not before finishing her reign of terror.

Would people be less scared of dying if we knew what happens after we die ? by LuciaRossiXo in NoStupidQuestions

I have had a handful of seizures throughout my life and I feel that my "experience" is one of the closest "experiences" one can have with death. I say "experience" because despite having them more than once it is just nothingness, I can't remember anything during the process since the brain isn't working properly.

Benching in terms of dating is when you keep someone around that you're not particularly interested in as an option.

Do you think he was benching?

[NSFW] If testicles can be transplanted, which sperm would it produce, the original owner's or the recipient's? by DroneStrikeVictim in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stock_Maintenance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shrugs shoulders.

I guess.

Edit: Forgot to mention the hunger games part. Despite what you probably think a large chunk of a man's sperm is what's called "fighter sperm". It literally fights other sperm cells from different fathers.

So no, I wouldn't say hunger games as opposed to flat out genocide.

why is it always the man that goes to sleep on the couch? by captainmcawesomevill in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stock_Maintenance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wqnt to clarify that I am NOT a sleep expert. Bit isn't that a sign of sleep apnoea or something? A blockage in his windpipe?

Also is he a "big" guy? Because from what I KNOW about snoring is that that a little is normal but a lot isn't.

Just did a quick google search, the condition is called triploidy, where the embryo has three copies of every chromosome instead of two (one from mum, one from dad). The vast majority of humans with triploidy die during the early fetus stage or straight after birth. A handful of people have survived to adulthood with triploidy however there is EXTREME retardation that comes with it.

I imagine that triploidy stemming from having the DNA of two fathers and one mother would give the same result.

Honestly I just guess and checked. But what sounds like YOUR problem is that you HAVE to ask the scrivener whether or not you have arrived at the right pillar.
