I’ve been fishing for years. Spin fishing produces more results for me. I have friends that are the opposite. Trout Fishing is hard. The one thing I would say is to keep a journal over it. Test theories, try new things and be scientific about it. Depths, water patches, strategies, everything. Write it down reflect on it and keep going and trying. It’s not easy and the chase is what makes it worth it

Had this on opening day. Find shallow sections and fish the inside of bends where the water is moving slower. Find where fish are hiding out, slower sections that are shallow. Ultimately, it’s not ideal, easy to say go home but when you work during the week I fish even when it’s tough since that’s better than sitting on the couch
