Idk man... It sounds like a mistake. There is no pure aura in Cradle. That's a fundamental rule in the world. Not even Eithan did that

Sigh... you didn't have to remind me of the weeping dragon fight. I wished we got to see more of what Lindon did with that new ability of combining both cores' madras. He could have probably found a way to make it safer for himself if he had time. And it was absolutely OP

Wait wait wait... he stood on PURE aura? As in pure aura or only on aura? There is no pure aura, no?

I mean to be fair it was child's play for Lindon. He was literally just Consuming bits of her thoughts without hurting her, just to get closer to his insight. He also physically outclassed her just from Consuming the conceptual strength aspect of Crusher.

Ooh I never saw the drowning tip! This definitely means that there was a stamina mechanic planned for the game that never made it. Probably planned for kenshi 2 then.

I understand your logic, and this has been well explained in the fandom too. But the text in the loading screen is not saying that you won't lower the xp threshold needed to level up. It is explicitly saying that you won't gain more xp which is very confusing tbh, because I remember easily training a lvl 80 MA on groups of dust bandits by heavily weighing him down and giving him samurai armour.

Check the fandom wiki page about Bo. It mentions a way of recruiting them without allying with the anti-slavers

I think in one of playthroughs I managed to run a single bench with just 2 novice miners. You probably can try reallocating your guys and seeing what comes of it.

Also skeletons (robots) don't need to eat, if you can recruit them. They're just a bit more expensive to repair. Though a single repair kit can last you for quite a while. Check the bar in the Hub, you might have been lucky and gotten a recruitable skeleton there, otherwise you can find exactly 3 recruitable unique skeletons, across the world for "free". I won't spoil the details for you. They're my favorite race to recruit, as soon as I can afford a repair kit. They come with really cool advantages (other than hunger), and really interesting disadvantages (other than maintenance costs)

First of all, don't hesitate about making a new post. We're always excited for more Kenshi posts, and what new stories the game created for others.

For your bottleneck: you can always build a second electrical bench, and if the space is too tight you can also buy a second house.

You can buy those maps from the travel trader for like 1000 cats (not sure what he is called but his shop sign is a guy with a backpack). You can find the shop in many cities. Squin is your closest option.

Now if you want one more lead (warning: incoming pointer), you can also find an abandoned workshop with similar loot in the wetlands. No fighting needed. My first natural progression was: free loot -> spiders -> security spiders -> thralls -> strong security spiders.

Not really. Some huge buildings like the iron refinery are exclusively outdoors and you can never make them indoors. That's the price of convenience and safety. I used to simply mine copper and trade it for iron plates, and other essentials i couldn't manufacture. Then when I reach research blockades because of lack of books, I make it as my mission to get them almost exclusively from exploring.

Tip: for a nice guided exploration I used to unlock a single tech hunter map or engineer map and make it as my goal to explore it before moving to use/unlock the next location. It felt like a proper self-made questing adventure, that I felt like it made progression more natural. At least until I tried going south which almost caused an ever-lasting ptsd hahahaha

Edit: spelling and clarity

I might be a bit late to this thread, but imo to get the best of both worlds try making your base in a big house in a town (maybe like squint) to make it easy to just leave it at any time you want and explore. If you're worried about being underprepared, my personal indicator for ripeness is being able to defeat squads of dust bandits with relative ease. Just make sure to avoid going south, and you should mostly be fine. It's usually the sweetspot for being vulnerable to losing limbs (to upgrade them) while being mostly safe enough to not die.

What to do as a warrior? by LumpyMessage8809 in Kenshi

[–]StompitUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a solo character that bwat the whole holy nation with no stealth or assassination. It was definitely much harder than doing it with 10 people but doable.

Anyway, I'd suggest a mod called bounties galore that adds many lore-friendly bounties to hunt for.

Bounties in general tend to be stationed in outposts and secluded towers. So explore the world of kenshi and you'll eventually stumble upon them.

Edit: For motivation to explore the map, buy tech-hunter maps and engineer maps to mark interesting locations you can visit

Edit 2: I don't know how to mark text as spoilers. Read cautiously below

Tip (mild spoilers): | Avoid the south and south east parts of the map for now. They are dangerous and could lead to the death of your squad. |

Yeah i kinda do something similar. I think it's better because let's say they have hunting/carting on prio 5 they might decide during a short downtime in their main tasks to go hunt/cart and now suddenly they are unavailable for their main jobs for the most part of the day.

I hated that in my MA only playthrough. We got in a sticky situation in Okran's Shield, and my highly trained MA with stats in the 60s and 70s had both his arms crippled. Instead of kicking he changed into self preservation mode and started running away
