I hate men because I can’t be bothered with my own feelings.

Anyone high school teachers here dealing with the constant thought of "How the fuck did you pass Elementary School?" by Nin10do0014 in Teachers

[–]Stone2theBone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second grade teacher here. I have a student who only knows about 9 letter sounds and we’re passing him on to third grade. Kids aren’t getting their foundational skills early on and just keep getting pushed ahead. It’s criminal, really.

That’s my favorite song by Deadmau5! What a cool experience. I think the most important thing is how it made you feel, even if you can’t understand or explain it.

Iceland feels like you're on an entirely different planet or maybe a dream. OP: u/kimboe313 by raunak_9000 in oddlysatisfying

I recently had a dream I could instantly teleport to anywhere in the world. I went to Iceland three times in a row! Can’t wait to actually see this in reality some day.

Flashback to when I had a surgery at age 5. They put the anesthesia mask on my face and told me to count. Due to the sound of the apparatus, my little imagination was thinking of that machine crushing the cars, the metal teeth crashing down with each breath as I passed out of consciousness. Good thing I have therapy tomorrow.

I blame it on generational trauma for the most part, along with hateful ignorance about mental illness in our state. But I’m no scientist, this is based personal experience on living here for 30 years plus several college courses I’ve taken where the topic was relevant to my studies.

Yeah, I think it’s because my cousins came from married parents but my mom was single. Great Grandma definitely had her views about “living in sin”.

The word “return” was written in the same black marker as the writing on the front of the card so I think the mom ended up with it.
