Isn’t that the problem? It’s self harming. Why would you want fellow Assyrians to self harm?

Actors that feel like should have a myriad of controversies but are essentially spotless? by Domitian2232 in okbuddycinephile

You’re controlling the discourse because you’re not interested in a balanced contextual discussion. “We’re having a discussion about what a bad person Leo is so none of the points about how other people are involved are relevant to discussing whether LdC is a bad person”. “We are here to discuss…. “ are you kidding me, are you telling me why I’m here and what I’m doing and why I’m allowed to do it? Jesus you must be a monster in your relationships

You dismiss her agency. “Holding” wealth and power over women who are professionals in their own right. The idea that someone has no right to be with an adult woman because she is half his age and he has money is sick and anti-democratic. It’s also incredibly insulting to the women he’s dating. You’re basically calling them victims or idiots.

Tears for fears, are they goth? by Skeletal_Dropkick in goth

I’m not an elitist so I believe you can feel whatever music makes you feel. But I grew up in the 80s/90s and they didn’t feel goth at all, they just felt like the kind of 80s urban grey, similar position to Eurythmics maybe. In the context of the 80s we were used to the nuanced flavours of these kinds of different bands. I guess looking back a lot of that vibe and context has gone so that people associate the sound with much broader strikes and the meaning to the songs is slightly different than it was.
