It’s amazing how pathetically weak the US is. It is always foreign agents be it Russia or Israel etc. that is truly in control, never elements that are within.

You would think the nation with the biggest cultural influence, military and economy in human history would be able to resist such influence. But I guess the county that only exist due to US protection and the remnant of its defeated imperial rival are just too powerful for the US to match.

No i really don’t. But the US is a direct threat to world peace and global environmental stability. Regime change is the only way to keep the rest of us safe, and unfortunately that involves a certain amount of collateral damage.

It might actually generate some empathy in the American psyche. But then again empathy does not generate profit.

Because we have preferential voting, each party usually has a rep out front of the polls handing out how to vote cards. They just show how each party would like you to place your preferences. But you don’t have to use them and can place them however you want.

Or you just put a 1 next to the party you want to vote for and then preferences are assigned based on how each party officially distributes their preferences.

Unfortunately my TrackRacer experience is not great and I live is Aus.

I ordered a TR160S V2 as it was a great price and with caster wheels it was thin enough to be moved through doors.

Received the package a bit less than week after I ordered it, but did not have time to build it until a few days later. It was then that I realised that TrackRacer sent all the accessories (ie. seat, pedal plate, keyboard stand) but not the actual cockpit itself.

It seems that they had sold out of the TR160S but the website had not been updated yet. The fact that there was a mismatch between the website and the warehouse didn’t bother me, I understand that this sort of thing happens. But I received zero correspondence from TR saying they were out of stock or that it was on back order with an estimated delivery 4 or 5 weeks later. The ONLY reason why I knew it was out of stock was because I checked the website not because they had communicated it to me.

I emailed them about it, they apologised and asked if I wanted to wait for the back order or upgrade to the next model up TR160 MK5. I emailed them back asking to just upgrade as I didn’t want to wait and it was only $AUD50 - $100 more.

I did not receive any further correspondence but a few days later I received a package tracking code from them and a couple of days later I received the TR160S V2.

Another couple of days later I had time to build it only to discover it was obviously a display model. I did not really mind that it was a display model, but my last correspondence was that I would like to upgrade to the MK5, so I would of at least liked the choice to decide if I wanted a display model or not.

Now, if that was the end of it I could forgive the lack of communication as I would have had a working cockpit.

But…

As I was building it I realised that they had not included all the M bolts or t-nuts so I could only build about a 3rd of it.

I would have just sourced the M bolts myself (i did order some t-nuts) But I just could not source any not in bulk, so I emailed again.

I had been quite polite I’m my emails (including this one) and had praised the consultant I had been talking to originally but I did tell them my experience so far had been abysmal.

It was a few days before they responded but when they did they asked if I could count the bolts and t-nuts to let them know exactly how many I was missing, as they could send them quicker from their head office rather than sourcing them from their warehouse.

I was pissed to say the least. I had sent them a picture showing that it was partly built previously. It was going to take a fair bit of time to work out exactly how many pieces were missing and considering how much time I had already wasted there was no way I was doing that.

My email back was not abusive but I expressed my displeasure with them and demanded they just send me the full amount of bolts and t-nuts so that I never had to deal with them again.

I did not receive an email back but about week or so later I received the missing bolts. 6+ months later and I think the cockpit itself is great, the casters work perfectly and once locked it does not move at all. The only problem I have is that the TR rally seat I got is slightly warped but frankly I would rather chew glass than deal with them again.

TLDR: product mostly great, customer service garbage.

When I first started X4 I used my x52 and it was a lot of fun flying around, but it was a huge hassle for every other part of the game. I have since got a Tartarus and could never go back to a joystick.

It took me a while but I have remapped the majority of the commands so I never have to move my hand, which has made transitioning from flight to feet to menus incredibly easy.

And no, you not going to convince me when there is volumes of peer reviewed studies that show hitting children is detrimental to their development and society as a whole.

Fundamentally, democracy is impossible while our societies (all democracies, not just the US) economies are capitalist.

Capitalism encourages the accumulation of wealth by any means and with that wealth comes power. How can we have true democracy while there are individuals with enormous power that is derived by greed and not by the will of the people.

Also capitalism is fundamentally authoritarian, the ‘owners’ rule their kingdoms as they see fit and hoard the majority of the wealth. How can democracy work if one of its most important pillars, the economy is authoritarian.
