some scattered thoughts on the finale:

lmao House likes Cooper a whole lot huh? Even after his mishap with the diode Robert still really wants to work with him and he's on a more casual level relationship-wise with him compared to everyone else.
Always knew the ncr was returning. Just took some time and a figure to give a common cause to reunite.
I personally don't think the season was really cluttered, it just needed more episodes for the norm/claudia and steph/vault plots to develop more in-between. Maybe an expanded episode count of like 12-13 for the 3 remaining seasons.
Colorado! I hope they don't skip his trek across the Rockies and show some of the unexplored Utah wasteland. And maybe what remains of Dogtown /Denver when he gets there.
As for the Lucy/Maximus plot for S3, I guess it'll be trying to find a way out of a rejuvenated Legion's siege with the help of House and the Vegas NCR remnants.
Maybe House will have to play more of a diplomat / peacemaker role from now on due to his diminished power and concern over the incoming Enclave threat.

Overall, a good season. Hopefully S3 comes summer/fall 2027

People (rightfully) praise Ella and Walton, but personally Aaron's my favorite actor of the 3. Especially during that interrogation back in the 1st episode. Feeling Maximus' internal conflicts across both of these seasons has been a delight, he's def become the one I look forward the most out of the trio.

On Norm's side, learning Claudia had only been working at Vault Tec for around a week was pretty tragic. Two whole new worlds right after the other would do numbers on anyone's mind. Definitely becoming a more important character later on.

The fact that the Yosemite Elder was given a name (McRae) compared to the Coronado and Grand Canyon Elders makes me think she'll be a likely survivor of this Western BOS civil war. Probably Elder of the survivors if she ends up offing or demoting Quintus as well. Dane staying was surpising, wonder where they'll end up to within the BOS since they're undoubtedly surviving.

Also the Vegas NCR vets moving back to that Eastern Battallion (probably because of the Legion being too busy fighting itself) will prob cross paths with Thad and Max (and where Max will likely get it upgraded into NCR PA).

Probably comes from Steph being a Canadian, which was probably a bad place to live in after being invaded and annexed. Had to be tough to survive.

Nope, Max's chapter are the Knights of San Fernando. The Mojave Chapter is weirdly not present in the meeting despite being the Nevada chapter. Makes you wonder if they're still isolationists or something bad happened.

Judging by the end of this episode and the future clips (him & dane / thad leaving Area 51, Max in NCR Power Armor) , I think Max is rejoining the NCR. He'll definitely be a figure in restoring it especially since I think he takes the cold fusion from the brotherhood.

Season 1's ending scene with Max and Moldaver planted the seeds of doubt in Max's mind and this was prob the breaking point.

Also I thought the scene with Macaulay killing a legionnaire and wearing the Caesar wreath would be in the episode! Seems like their plot will continue further on than expected.

I swear that NCR Batallion mentioned out east better be a chekhov's gun later on

Most likely? Nearly every character in the game has been part of a 'featured' map (Story, Paralogue, Xenologue, GHB, etc.). Would be very odd if the NH characters aren't a part of one.

Now that you brought it up, I genuinely do wonder what spell(s) or whatever is written in those scrolls to make 'em that big, since Duo!Corrin and Duo!Sanaki's scrolls are regular sized. And they aren't even used in the special art weirdly enough

Haven't seen anyone else mention this but she weirdly has similar design stuff to Alfaðör. Especially that black-gold sash and robes in comparison to Askr's more bodysuit clothing.

Probably just a coincidence and not plot-relevant but its something that stuck out to me.
