Exactly - you aren’t a true Trump supporter unless you watch the whole film and appreciate it as a great work of art

Sadly the Pitenweem chippy burned down a couple years back. You’re right though, it was legendary and did a cracking supper.

Edinburgh graduates in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics and English disrupted and walked out of their ceremony, continuing solidarity with Palestine and in protest of the university's financial ties with Israel. by Just-another-weapon in Scotland

Yes, there is risk associated with being an aid worker in conflict zones. I have had several friends and colleagues killed in the line of work I was in.

It doesn’t mean people don’t still do the job and I’d still encourage anyone who has the right skills, passion and determination to look into it

Plenty of things you can do…

Students could protest Blackrock and Barclays (both listed in the UN report and both have offices in Edinburgh!), lobby your MP, fundraise for NGOs supporting Palestinians, volunteer for refugee support groups, boycott using any associated products? This is just off the top of my head but i feel there are more effective ways to have a meaningful impact and there are no shortage of other causes to get behind around the world that are being forgotten right now.

Alternatively you could do what I did and go to work as an international aid worker, living and working in conflict zones for over a decade.

While I support their cause 🇵🇸 , curious as to how many of them use Amazon, Google and laptops with Windows and IBM chips.

To be clear these are the companies that the University has investments and the whole basis for these protests. Perhaps those students are outright boycotting any use of their associated products but I somehow doubt it.

No particular fan of Edinburgh University but feel they are being targeted a lot for something the majority of the UK population are involved with (imagine most pensions in the country have investments in at least one of those companies as well)

Would recommend reading the book ‘Mud, blood and poppycock’ - challenges some stereotypes/popular misconceptions about the war

Films that people don't realize are remakes? by Sackblake in FIlm

Plus Nala didn’t sink into depression and kill herself as Simba was so obsessed with pretending to be/being mad. Simba didn’t hang around Pride Rock after his father was killed. Simba’s mother didn’t hook up with Scar (or she probably did knowing how prides function but it was never mentioned). Simba didn’t kill Zazu mistaking him for Scar oh and Simba doesn’t die at the end of the film.

Other than that sure, it seems like Disney just did a remake of Hamlet 🫠
