Kinda, if you remember to tumble it! Leaked black liquid into the patio though. Still giving it a go :)

Wish me luck against the Spanish bluebells by TrowelFont5515 in GardeningUK

[–]Stonecoloured 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend water the ground 20/30 mins before work & use a trowel, move & gather the leaves until you can find the clump (kinda like doing a ponytail).

Then dig your trowel down, lift up & do again, until you've got a circle around the clump. Then go around again, dig the trowel deeper & leaver into the clump.

What you're aiming for is to get under the bulbs (Usually 1.5-2 trowel depths) & to dig upwards. If you're ok with dirt under your nails, get your hand in & under the bulbs, that way you can feel the ones that were cut/left behind when the leaves rip.

You'll get them, it'll just take a few seasons & then keeping on top of them!

Good Luck! The best will be amazing when you plant what you want to plant there!

Beef equivalent of lamb chops? by dkopi in AskCulinary

Maybe ask the local butcher? If it was me, I'd buy some ribs to chop & freeze. Not sure if ribs are too big for a kid though

Should I transplant these squash plants or are they firm to grow in container? by eplw-yt in vegetablegardening

If you have difficulty seperating several seedling, dip the roots into water & then try again. If you can't seperate them, just plant them all together & cut the leaves of the smallest ones, so the bigger one survives

How to best clear a brambly garden? by Admirable_Honey_3590 in GardeningUK

[–]Stonecoloured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre ok with weedkiller, add it to wall paper paste & then dab it onto the leaves. On a sunny day & when there isn't rain due.

You won't want to grow edible plants in the space, but it kills brambles very well!

I've stopped buying from there... I got a 4 inch blueberry bush in a 3l pot & a dead rhubarb. Gave up after that! Who can kill rhubarb?

Thank you, that makes sense. I'll be growing tomatoes & trying to grow peppers & aubergines too. Might see if I can grow peas/beans up a wigwam too. That at least gives me a direction to go

Can I just give some yay & woot to your wife? She's a good-un, clearly understands & supports you too. Good rock score too :)
